Where oh Where has the double track gone?

Just got TRS2012 and I can't find "2t" or "2 tracks" or "double track" when I type it in the track search field. Were double tracks left out on purpose? Help would be appreciated. Unsure as to why this is

Double track splines don't seem to work in '12 as they did in '09. I not only downloaded several double track splines on the dls, but also imported one from my 2009 installation to verify.

Don't get too dizzy. If you use some of the track placing tools available on the DLS, it's actually quite easy to place two, three and even four or more parallel tracks. Some of the guides are visual only, that is the tracks are not attached so you will get minor spacing variations. You might consider that nice or not. Other guides have the tracks attached to them so the distance is fixed and constant. Moving the guide also moves the tracks so changing the location of multiple tracks is easier.

Most creators who create High Quality Track don't bother with double track anymore, as single track is so much more flexible to work with.

And to answer your question, were they delibrately left out, the answer is yes, as TS12 doesn't contain all the older routes and they were the reason most things were there. If you choose to still use double track, and a few do, there is of course the DLS, where the assets are now located in accordance with this thread - http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=71928

Kind bridge assets which includes double track were broken in TS12 but the lastest patch that updates to build 48249 seems to have fixed them. You can insert and delete spline points and attach them together just as in previous versions.

If you upgrade '12 to 48249, as the previous post suggests, the double track seems to work as it did in 2009. I imported the double track splines I like to use from the 2009 installation.
