where is the addons folder?

where is the folder where the extra content i download held?(EDIT: and where are my routes to?)
reason: 2 reasons really, 1 i need to uninstall trainz until i get a new computer, 2 i want to make a backup of all of the content anyway.

Hi Drrt4,
all your maps you made your self inclueding all that you have downloaded from the DLS are in your local folder.
If you have put addon's like S&C or Merchison2 or whatever it called, you will find these in the Builtin folder.

Yes Drrt .....it's the same place.

have you a external disk drive. or have you got any partishion's on your internal one?

you could buy two dongles of about 8Gig each and spread it over the two.

thanks that's good to know. no i don't think i have any of that stuff, i was thinking of putting all of it on a disc, but seeing that.... i don't think any disk on heaven or earth can store 10.2GB! I'll have a look around, i think i have a spare "portable hard drive" used on a old DOS computer that has 11GB:hehe: i don't know....ill look. otherwise please Trainz community I'm in really deep here! any suggestion's are appreciated! Sorry I'm all out of answers, the two 8 Gig dondles would be the cheepest way to do it, as DVD disk's will degrade in time and let you down. :'(

hmmm.....the 8gig um.."flash drives" i call them sounds like a good idea, I'm also out of ideas to, but the 1 good thing that came out of tonight is..a new keyboard! while i was searching for that "DOS drive" i found this amazing keyboard, i had the same keyboard for 10 years! it was loud and the keys would get stuck to the point where i had to take it apart and unstick them from their

, but this one is so quite i can actually hear me A.C. going!(witch is quite in the first place.) well back to bigger problems....i may just put the file in my E: drive and labe it as "backup" and put a "readme" file in it. my E: drive is big and good for storing extra folders. well lets see, I'm still taking suggestions!

an external usb hard drive would be your best bet as your local folder will just get bigger over time mines at the 23 gigs and growing.

but you can find them in most electronics stores - Radio Shack, Best Buy, even WalMart.

The price is based on what size you get - the bigger the drive, the more it costs.
