Where Do You Find The Time?

My time is split between here, the simulator, Age of Empires and the snooker hall. :cool:

Study is going to be such a shock to the system... :eek:
 
I retired when I was 35 ( now 54 ) spent my time golf, pub, holidays, looking round shops etc. had never played a computer game in my life.......Then i discovered TRAINZ................. Golf club flew flag at half mast thinking I was dead, wife thinks we've got divorced, friends ring and ask her if I'm getting better, kids think I'm cool ( whatever that is ?? ) and when I went on my last holiday I took laptop and trainz. Has it changed my life.... of course not, don't be silly.

how has trainz affected my life??

about 6 months ago i started the 'get super fit' mission as im joining the army in a year, thanks to trainz iv lost a months worth or work and starting to go flabby again and im not to worried :confused: so as i wrtie this im trying to remember where my running gear is and why is it so dusty, i whould go for a run but when i say run i think 'i wonder if my route is long enough for a decent run of my HST for an hour?' rather than 'i wonder how far i can run in an hour'
 
I've gotten used to eating burnt food. I now eat blackened rice, blackened pork chops, blackened chicken, blackened vegetables, etc., etc., etc...:D:D:D
I have completely ruined a perfectly good set of pots and pans.:eek:

Does anyone else like blackened food??? I have a pretty good recipe for it...;)

My local pizza delivery man is so regular now I've given him a copy of one of my old UTC's to play with as he was so interested in watching me play Trainz.....Hopefully we will have another community member very soon. :hehe:

Easy recipe start food...then play Trainz for about 1 hour or more and presto!

12500 boards? Even 400? Maybe you should think along the lines of layouts rather than routes?

I had a 5.5 foot bu 10 foot N scale layout in my garage once. Never "finihed" it. It was torn down by the time I discovered Trainz so my first project was to build my layout in Trainz. It is MUCH better than it ever could have been in the garage. If I had made it 5.5 foot by 10 in Trainz it might have taken about 1/3 a base board. I brodened the curves and lenthened straight aways and added a larger yard and more sidings so it filled an entire board.
No, I don't sugest you limit yourself to one board. Maybe 30 would be plenty. Take a look at Gorre and Defetid Line on the DLS, the one I reworked and put on the DLS. Note that, like all my layouts, they require no items other than what comes with TRS2006. On some I have inadvertantly included rolling stock, some of which are not standard equipment, some not even on the DLS. Please forgive and ignore that.
So another point is you may want to avoid getting carried away with third party stuff. I suspect this will decrease your grief and raise your enjoyment level.
Still I am impressed with the work of those that attempt to re-create the universe.;)
