Where can I find......

Hardcore Steam Breather
People all over the trainz community are probably wondering where to get specific items, whether it be buildings, kuids, engines, or really anything. if you're looking for it, post it here. If you know where it is, post it here.

I'm looking for:

A large, mainline coaling tower
An American type Mallet
A UP Challenger
A T-Boiler Mich-Cal Shay

US Mallets

I would like to clarify your question about Mallet type locomotives, and check that you do not simply mean an articulated locomotive. Locomotives such as the UP "Big Boy" are frequently errantly referred to as "Mallet" locomotives, however they were not. Mallet's design used compounded steam, necessitating one set of cylinders to be larger than the other (usually the front set). Without technical information the primary way to determine if an articulated locomotive is a Mallet is by the difference in the size of the cylinders. The use of actual Mallets by US railroads was rather limited after about the 1930's, the primary user of the Mallet design after that point was the Norfolk & Western. I do not know of any standard gauge Mallets for Trainz.

Yeah I'm talking about the real mallets, not the articulated types. Mainly I am looking for something from Norfolk & Western or Chesapeake & Ohio. Those are the good kinds.

Hi bigboy,

There is a PRR s1 on the DLS, it's a 6-4-4-6 but is a trainz 1.3 loco so does not have the features of 2004 or 2006 locos. Look for kuid 59906 6001 and 6002 for the tender. I have converted it to have 2004 sound but no cab driving capability.

Cheers,

Does anyone know where to find an industry that transfers diesel fuel from one track to another? Or better yet an industry that transfers anything from one track to another? Some kind of two track multiple industry.

Also, I'm looking for a 4 track station that isn't invisible and is considerably long. I've looked all through the DLS and can't find one that is exactly what I need.

You can make any station platform longer by using platform splines. There are some with canopies, some without out, and canopies available seperately. Tafweb made some non-passenger enabled 4 track stations. One of them is a terminal, and the other is a through station.

I'm looking for a couple of vehicles, a modern tow truck and a semi car carrier, with or without vehicles.

Any help would be appreciated.

Alex.

Does any one out there know of a lifting type bridge with a road on it instead of a rail, I've been checking out Ben Dorsey's stuff and wow is he proliffic. However I have only found one bridge and it doesn't want to work with the road I'm using and the ship sinks everytime it goes through it. While this is highly amusing it does detract somewhat. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. cheers. Dusty.

I'm using tr2006, but I'm still using vehicles that were designed for the Original version, 3 I think, which I had started with.

Does anybody know where to find an industry that transfers crude oil from one track to another?

As for a lifting bridge with a road, I haven't a clue. Sorry.

I haven't had any luck in finding those vehicles macca. I guess just find someone who makes cars and ask if they could make them.

I've made a number of vertical lift bridges. At least one is for automotice traffic. There may be more (I can't remember off hand).

Look at my kuid2:210518:1493:1.

Note this is designed to be normally be closed and open at the approach of a boat in the water which has been configured as a locomotive that rides on invisible track in the water.

I seem to remember making a few other moveable road bridges of different design (center swing, etc).

Ben
