You need to understand that the EEP has a separate programming (coding) language that allows for the realistic functions and visual quality of their vehicles that is separated from their trains they have....It basically functions on its own complementing the train aspect where as right now we have a system that is more of a dependency on Trainz then being used on its own.........hence the invisible tracks for the cars in trainz vs. an actual road system as in EEP............if you look at advanced model railroads now, especially in Europe you will vehicles moving realistically on roadways and ship moving in water and planes flying and landing with new small micro motors...........this is the advancements in the MRR industry...they get cheaper each year and become more mainstreams such as what EEP is doing in the virtual world..........Tony mentioned they are trying to update TANE to reflect this.....
Different niches. To me TANE is something I can work with others to create content. That gives me a lot of control. Want an obscure Private Owner wagon not a problem. GWR broad gauge again not a problem. There isn't the same breadth of content in EEP as there is in Trainz certainly not free content.
