When, O When, O When, O When?

Hi, I moved from a PC to a Mac over a year ago and I desperately miss driving my Trainz!!!

I see there is a version of TRAINZ for iPad so surely it cant be long before a full-blown Mac version appears? I cant be the only person in the world desperate to drive my trainz on a mac?

Why are the TRAINZ guys dragging their feet on this - I can only play sim city for mac for so long before becoming suicidal

HELP!!!!!

Patience is a virtue here - they are in the process of creating a Mac version, which will hopefully be available on the Mac store soon.

:hehe: Why did you betray the Redmond Empire and closed your windows to tradition in Trainz? ;)

Now you're being punished with a stinging expectation...

I think at least part of the blame should go to Steve Jobs. Isn't he the one who made Mac so proprietary that it is hard for game creators to get their foot in the door?

Amigacookie, I thought you would have been plugging for an Amiga Workbench 1.3 version of Trainz. The Amiga was the first multimedia/multitasking computer I ever used - long before Steve Jobs or Bill Gates thought of it.

Because it has no basis in fact?
Yes it does just look at the serious screening a simple app needs to get placed on the apstore...why does it need to go to an apstore anyway? Shouldn't they be able to sell it from any website they want? Why does it have to be approved by Apple?
Why do no games run on a Mac that aren't tailor made to it without running boot camp or the like? You need to know a lot about how the OS works, but you can't because not everything about it is known.
Windows people can rip apart and rebuild it from the ground up and have it work. Macs you can barely get your foot in the door when it comes to a app for the Iphone or Ipod touch let alone a full pledged program for a computer.

I worked on a Mac for many years (Senior Graphic Artist) and if it weren't for the games on a PC I would DEFINITELY own a Mac. Easiest computer to use and it has no viruses and DOESN'T CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus, I'm betting our frame rates would be fantastic!

Both claims are old chestnuts long past their "use by" dates- even Apple acknowledges that Macs DO CRASH. Anti-virus software (and viruses) are available for the Mac OS X (and earlier) platforms.

The age-old Mac vs. PC war rages on. . . . . and on. . . . and [yawn] on. . . . .

Much agreed. They just don't like to admit that. They are 100% false statements on the commercials, which leads to FALSE advertisement, so you could theoretically sue if your computer "crashed" or got a crippling virus if you lost serious data.

^ So you guys and gals have used Mac's huh? And you prefer PC's?
Indeed, I cannot stand the Mac interface at all. It is to much of a pain in the rear just to find where programs place there files, and why do you drag the CD to the trash bin to eject it? STUPID.
