Yes CMP has the odd bug, but it's all generally very minor and is easily acceptable.
Let's support this product we love by all buying TC 3 when it comes out, if you want to continue to generate entertainment from this product, it's the honorable thing to do.
It's taken me over 45 minutes to digest everything that has been written, I guess one of the words that hasn't been stated is FRUSTRATION....Because I think that this is the main reason why some people have posted some negative and maybe biting comments about Auran's attitude to us as a Trainz community and the reason why some of our esteemed creators and long-term Trainzers are publicly at each other's throats.
Frustration on the lack of helpdesk/forum support for everyone from Auran, frustration on the lack of words from their hierarchy as to exactly where Trainz stands as a product for the future, frustration on the news that Auran seems to be spending the money we have put there way for this product, to know that it's being spent on development on another totally different product, that we will never be part of, well, I won't personally, anyway. Frustration to know that if Fury greatly succeeds, will Trainz then die a quiet death, but nobody will give us any committed answers. Frustration that the DLS / Server has not worked properly for months to be able to download creations on a regular basis.
If it hadn't have been for drucifer's original post the other day, none of us would have been any the wiser as to exactly what is going on in Auran's little world. Some of you may have taken this with a pinch of salt if you know who the journalist was who spoke to Tony Hilliam, but many of us around the world have suitably sat up and taken notice of what has transpired.
So, it's frustrating to read that we once embattled members of a forum community are now fighting each other tooth and nail because we are all just so FRUSTRATED.
I will also take exception to communists comments above regarding CMP. Unfortunately, and I stand corrected if I am wrong, TC works on CMP, and it is because of this that a lot of people will maybe think twice before purchasing any newer versions of what Auran offers us for this simple reason. If CMP is not fixed soon, then people will not be able to operate it....End of story....CMP has a huge bug, it is very major and is most certainly NOT acceptable, it also has a terrible sound file and CMP is the only reason why I, and countless others, have un-installed TRS2006 and reverted back to TRS2004. I will not say how many times I have sworn at it, thrown a wobbler and nearly decapitated next door's cat in attempting to get it to work to MY satisfaction, and this has only come about since last December. Before then, I loved using it on a daily basis.
Despite this, I will endeavour to purchase TC3, as the route and rolling stock, is English-based and built by British people and I have always encouraged people on this forum to buy any Trainz product direct from Auran's shop and not from some two-bit store, because people are too tight to get their hands in their pockets and pay that extra few dollars / pounds to keep Auran afloat, so I will agree with communist that we ALL need to offer our support financially to keep our wonderful hobby going.
And before I go, I would like to publicly thank Mike Banfield for his customer service shown to us in the UK for Auran's Trainz products, and long may it continue, I've never met the man personally, but from a customer's point of view he has always offered expert help, advice and enthusiasm...Others have written against him, I would like to redress the balance.
My 50p's worth...no, make it a pound...
