Sad that 2006 is no longer supported on the cmp, i'm thinking of getting either 2009 or 2010.
Which is best do you think ?
Can i transfer my 2006 " Local " folder to these and play all my old 2006 routes and rolling stock. ?
All comments appreciated
Cheers

Afternoon PJ,
Going for the leap into the unknown. I fell in about 6 months back.
The principles are the same ish. Routes go in route layer, locos ,stock rules in session layer. That way I'm told you can have several different sessions with the same route.
I used to do that with 2006 and it seemed simpler to me.
Separate your 2006 routes and deps into cdp's, and transfer them 1 at a time. Sort the mess out then transfer another.
CM 3.3's another animal to cmp, must be female it's that fussy.
Speed trees I can live without, graphics are better, AI's seem to look ahead a little more, brake earlier. The I is changing from IDIOT not sure what to though.
Take the plunge, if you can run 2006 you can handle 2010. Remember a lot of folk couldn't manage 2006.
frank.
You do know you can still get new 2004/6 stuff dont you ?

Hi Fran
Nice to hear from you again and thanks for your thoughts. I did not know you could still get new 2004/2006 items, I thought the CMP had stopped taking them ?
I might give 2010 a go but i do so like/enjoy 2006 !!!
Cheers

Not from DLS, only guessing again , but it could be jointed rail who's hosting them. Have a search, some on here are solid 2004 or 2006, Blackwatch for eg, you could pm them.
Fran.
