Alaskan Cedar or Atlantic Cedar ( Basically Same Thing ).

Made on in SpeedTree, but not allot of demand for it ( No Longer Available ):

Along a farm fence in Tasmania that would most likely be Cypress Macrocarpa, probably the most common tree in south eastern rural Australia after the ubiquitous Eucalypt species.

AFAIK there is nothing even vaguely similar in either 3D or 'Billboard'. I checked every remote possibility on Dave Drake's site a couple of years ago when I was trying to do the Victorian Railway's Noojee Branch in Trainz. Without a few variants of that particular tree the route was a non-starter, there are zillions of the things along every fence line in the place and they are so distinctive a near-enough replacement is unlikely. They make brilliant windbreaks, and surprisingly good milling timber for the half dozen or so portable mills that work the area.

If you find something let me know, because I would drop every project I have on the go to attempt Noojee again....

Well I found that the Cypress Macrocarpa is also called a Monterey Cypress. So thats a bit of an improvement, there's a number by dmdrake on CMP.

Cheers! :)

I didn't think Monterey Cypress occurred in Aus. I know it's in New Zealand and North America. It makes good flamenco guitars amongst other things..

Maybe it is a coniferous tree with cones and all. Possibly a cedar?

Nice image by the way.

Cheers
