What Other Games Have You Seen Trains In?

Haven't read the whole thread, but one one of the ones I can think of is posted above, but here they are anyway.
  • Just Cause
  • Half Life 2
  • Splinter Cell: Double Agent
  • Max Payne (1 & 2)
  • GTA 3+ (obviously)
  • Mario Kart
  • Gran Turismo
  • Project Gotham Racing
And probably a lot more.
I expect all those have already been mentioned. :D

Smiley.

And not to mention since the mention of the snake in the game... I am afraid of snakes. I avoid them everywhere from pictures to the reptile house.
Snakes no, alligators YES! What I hate about this game is that unlike the ending of all the other games, This one is automatic, just follow the villan through the cematary and then watch the ending unlike the others where the villan ussually sneaks up behind you and then after finding out why they did it, they either, get themselves trapped and you have to save them, or they try to attack you and you have to do somthing. With the exception of "Danger by Design" this is the only game with an ending unlike that.

two more games
Axis And Allies (wwii stratigy game) Trains occaonally appear as obsticles (your army cannot climb over them and are forced to take the long way around)

Battlefield 2 (mordern day combat game) Trains make occasional appearance as staic objects that you can climb onto (and even snipe from)

GTA 4 has some KILLER elevated trains in it. Not only are they accurate models, but they come in both 2 and 3 car trains. I think some are even larger.

I've heard them rolling overhead many times, but haven't really had a look at them.
I did greet a few people off one of the trains once though.

By the way perry, did you find the last train to blue moon canyon easter egg in crystal skull?

Not yet. I had to take a break from hearing my heart beat quickening. And then GTA 4 came out so I haven't really had much time.

Oh in GTA 4 there are the subways like mentioned and then in the NJ area there are area's for ex railroads. Tho there is discussion that the old railroad look used in GTA 4 seems like a rush to take them out during the delay. Seems like only the PC version, if it happens, will solve that mystery.

Also there is a big indication there used to be railroads other then the track. A most Obvious railroad bridge appears and there are railroad cars and bogey's on one side.

In other thoughts another game that has trains is Impossible Creatures. They travel in a flying steam loco.

A couple of things Perry;

Unless your profile is 3 years out of date, you shouldn't be playing an 18 rated game.
I heard 2 Americans arguing, swearing and throwing racial abuse at each other the other day on Xbox Live, and it transpired that one was 12 and the other was 14.
The press give GTA a hard time, but in truth it's the parents that let them play a game that's not meant for them.
I also notice you play Saints Row, which is a lot worse than GTA for minors.
Unbelievable.

Secondly, your gamercard is too big for the forum rules.
Maximum banner size is 800x100 pixels on this forum, which is why I chose the Gel Signature one.
Please change it to one of the ones on mygamercard.net that fits into 800x100.

Rapid transit in GTA IV is excellent. You do need to play a certain way in the game before unlocking the next island and therefore access to the whole system. However unlike the trains in GTA:SA which were implemented rather simplistically, R* seem to have gone out their way to make the railroad authentic in this version. In terms of appearance, sound and physics (in particular the dip and sway of the cars) R* have bettered with a peripheral to their game what Kuju failed to achieve in Rail Simulator. Add to that the grungey and realistic appearance of the stations, announcements and general system "logic" and riding the subway is one of the more enjoyable Easter Eggs in the game.

Let's hope there is indeed a PC version later in the year.

I find, the more I play 4, the more I find things that just blow my mind about it. Little details that just you don't notice right away, but when you do...wow.

Railroad wise, I love how accurately built the trains are, as well as that great chase through the subway on a motorcycle. The end is particularly spectacular too.

im suprised no one has mentioned A-Train. its for ps1 and much like sim city but obviously circled around the rail industry.

2: Fixed :) And now you can see more of the violent games I play.

1. No I am not to "young" in the sense of maturity. My parents have taught me the difference between real and fake and I know this is just a game. Truth be told Saints Row is not violent at all when compared to Solider of Fortune.

Most of my hopefully recent posts show that I am very mature when I comes to speaking with people. Not to mention being the author of an, in games lingo ,AO rated book does help.

I wish I could give you more games with railroads in them but I'm enjoying trying to derail a subway in GTA IV. :hehe:

Thanks for the PM Perry.
There are so many younger gamers on Xbox Live that could learn a thing or two from you.

And as I said in my PM, if GTA was out when I was 15, then I would definitely find a way to be playing it, although there were some mates who I know it would have been a bad idea to let them play.
I guess it comes down to the individual, and this is where the parents need to take responsibility, but unfortunately too many don't.

When I was 15, I was programming the new ZX Spectrum, and was all excited because Sinclair had given us a 16 colour palette which could be accessed separately in memory to the 8x8 pixel grid. lol :D:D:D:hehe::hehe::hehe:

Team Fortress 2 apparently has one in it; I personally didn't see it but the guy 2 computers down from me @ the gaming center where i was at got hit by it. Also Counter Strike Source has some train cars sitting around in one of its maps.
