What Other Games Have You Seen Trains In?

Right, well I'm a non-Yonk Yank and don't bother searching for old posts. I will add Adventure Games's Murder On The Orient Express.

Just wondering but did anyone ever finish that one?

Mall Tycoon had a train in it's christmas theme.

P.S. I have to ask but I really need to find a good free roam game with trains you can drive. This is really bugging me and Google isn't helping much. So where who better to ask then a train community?

When you play Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force Expansion Pack's 'Virtual Voyager' mode and you go to Sickbay, you hear the Holographic Doctor Singing "I'm Working On The Railraod".

On some Command And Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath maps, there are railway lines layed across the terrain including level crossings.

On Wipeout 2097/XL on circuit 5, there is a monorail that runs beside the track.

On Wipeout 3 on circuits 1, 4 and 5, you see trains as you race along the circuit.

colin mccrae rally for the playstation (the original one on both ocunts) one of the australian tracks takes you past a train and over a crossing in the bush of western australia

oh and one of the sildier of fortune games (SOF 2 i think) for the PC had you clambering towards the loco of a freight train taking out bad guys as you went.

It was Soldier of Fortune. The original.
That one had the first level in a NYC subway and then the second level is on the train I believe.

P.S. I Really need to catch up! I missed SOF 2 and now SOF Payback.

Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2.

You fight in a railyard in CoD2 and in CoD at the first level or so of the Russian campaign you have to jump off gantrys to get get into the main level of a station and there are a bunch of Germans behind it.

When you have a Kar98k with low ammo and about twelve guys aiming at you with machine guns, well the numbers are not so good.:o :p :D

Cheers,
Adam

California Speed (My favorite arcade game) has 3 railroad crossings, an overpass, and an underpass of train tracks on the Central Valley race. At the crossings; there are Autoracks, FURX-like hoppers, and DRGW cabooses sitting on the tracks. -Chris

Need For Speed 4 (running, non-controllable--easy to get your car crushed by it!)
Need For Speed 5: Porsche Unleashed(Eurostar, non-user-controllable, overhead bridge)
Counter-Strike Condition Zero
Counter-Strike Source
Lego Loco
Lego Island 2
MSTS(well, duh...)
Rails Across America
Railroad Tycoon 1, 2, 3
Lionel Trans-Con(don't ask)
3D Ultra Lionel Traintown
Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 4
BVE(Boso View Express)
Transport Tycoon
Rollercoaster Tycoon 1,2,3
TrainPlayer

I'm sure there are more, I'll add them as I think of them :)

Not sure if anyone remembers this one, but Rescue Mission on the old Sega Master System involved protecting a medic on a rail handcart (by shooting enemy soldiers on the screen with a light-gun) as he slowly travelled along a maze-like network of tracks, healing wounded ally soldiers along the way. It was a fun little game, and pretty hard too.

Also, one of the Metal Slug games had a section in a subway vaguely modelled on the New York one, including trains that would run you down if you didn't blow them to smitherens. :p

Army of Two (though you don't directly interact with them) has some AWSOMELY detailed trains you see in one or two levels. As well as a neat monorail.

No Kidden
I was doing pretty good through that level (not have been killed yet!) and i walked up to the station without paying attention, finally look about 2 seconds from the end and though "oh s&@#!" and it took me 7 more trys to make it past that.

Lol I uh Know a certain person who always seems to have walkthroughs on him. So when I get stuck I cheat! I estimated 20 for jakes mine but for copper gorge... About 40 to 50 more making the final total about an Hour off the train.
Cheater
LOL, well to tell the truth i go to the cheats if i'm stuck for too long, in the first time through jakes mine i made progress, just very slowly, the only games i've had to use walkthroughs on are the first 2 becasuse they are very picky on how you do things, and in which order. I beat the Haunted Carosel in 4 hours WITHOUT a walkthorugh (same thing applyed to Crystal Skull [Note: If you are easily scared, do not play Crystal Skull, they made this one to be accually scary, and it is, considering "The Mummy" didn't even scare me, this game DID!])

if memory serves me correctly, Resident Evil 2 had a battle onboard a train towards the end.

and resident evil 3 has one on board a tram / trolley car.

I am playing Just Cause right now and I just did a mission with a train and tank fuel.

Did I list Saints Row? If not then here it is.

Mafia 1 and 2 seem to have some form of train in them.

Spoilers if you haven't played or completed HL 2 - episode 2
I bet I'm repeating myself or someone but Half life 2 you begin on a train, go through a mine, go through a train yard, crawl through train wrecks, and have to cross an train bridge which seems to be falling down.
Episode 1 seems to like derailing. The first train you get one derails. then there is the whole ending which is centered around trains.
Episode 2 starts in a train wreck then you go into a mine. After the mine you won't see trains until after when you get the car and then they are static objects which are meant to show off your driving skills it seems.

Some trucking arcade game I once played had you deliver a diesel loco on a flat bed to somewhere.

If you are easily scared, do not play Crystal Skull
Lol I found that out to late and boy did it freak me out. To bad I Have to complete it since I'm dedicated like that. And not to mention since the mention of the snake in the game... I am afraid of snakes. I avoid them everywhere from pictures to the reptile house.
