What opens .texture files and.IM files?

Hi,

I was trying to skin a coach and I ran in to this problem. I can't seem to open .IM files or .texture files in Photoshop or any program that I have what program do I need to open them.

.im files are the mesh, .texture files cannot be editted directly but dig in the forum and I think some one has instructions about what can be done. In general stick to .tga files to edit.

.texture files can be opened with TGATool2. .IM files can't be readily opened, and don't need to be opened for skinning.

Thanks for the help , I got the program and I did ask a coach and the skin is to my satisfaction. How do I convert it back.

i have that problem too. tgatool2 says it needs a program/routine, that is part of msts (which i don't have, i forget what its called, but i went looking for it, and apearently, as far as i can find, it seems to be part of the 'that other train sim') to be able to do that.

ah, i remember now. i think its called MakeAce, which tgatool uses as a plugin to do the conversion back, but i have no idea where or if it is available seperately to enable doing that. something i'd be VERY much interested it, as i have my own color scheem i've been using for years on my physical scale models, it is unlike anything available in paintshed, or that that appears to be capable of.

MakeAce is only needed to enable TGAtools2 to convert tga files into MSTS ace texture files. You do not need it to extract tga files from. .texture files.

When i try converting a tga to texture file it doesn't work. I don't know if I am doing something wrong. or something. all I do is export it and it doesn't make a file or convert anything in to texture files. Can someone please help me. Or do I really need to do that. the Item that I am skinning is a default coach that is in Trainz 2006. It only have texture files and IM files. I don't know if I can use tga files instead or how I go about making it work

You need another program called trstex. ill send it to you. whats ur email. or if u have an aim account that would be easier and more more convenient for me.

But then how do we get the .JPG into a .texture file?
