In The Devil Wears Prada, there's a brief scene where Meryl Steep's daughters get their "Harry Potter" manuscripts. On this, they are riding on what looks like an Amtrak Acela.

also:
Tombstone :Old West train
Tea With Mussolini: Cher gets off a Italian passenger train
Schindler's List: Nazi deathcamp train
The Commitments: Irish commuter train
Shall We Dance: Chicago commuters
Enemy At The Gates: Russian troop trains
Beyond Silence ( a German film)- features the German ICE trains in a few scenes

I think that The Godfather Part II had a train in it.

Oh Mr. Porter - Classic black and white comedy film.
Oh Dr. Beeching! - BBC comedy series set at on a Branch Line at the time of the Beeching Axe.
Agatha Christie's Poirot - Trains feature quite prominently in some episodes; e.g. Mystery of the Blue Train, The Plymouth Express. One episode (The ABC Murders) involves a killer leaving copies of the ABC railway guide at the scene of his crimes, and another episode (Hercule Poirot's Christmas) features a humourous scene on a Pullman train, in which Poirot is decidedly unimpressed with the soup he ordered. There's also an animated, art deco style LNER A4 in the opening credits.

3:10 to Yuma

Has anyone said "3:10 to Yuma" yet?
Apperently one of the best westerns for awhile I guess. I cant remember the name of the other movie.

Never seen it, dont want to. Just watched the commercial on it though.

In the original Psycho, right after she buys the car, and you see her point of view as she's driving down the road, there's a glimpse of a freight train to the right (Although I can't make out the engines).

When Top Gear goes to America at the beginning when they are all meeting up, some Bombardiar Bi-Level coaches can be seen going by in the background.

Did anyone mention Ocean's 12 (in the first 10 minutes or so, when Benedict finds Tess)? Oh, and in Ocean's 13, they used the Tunnel Boring Machines that dug the Chunnel (not strictly a train appearance, but whatever).

Oh, and in the movie "There Will Be Blood", this guy at the Convention said they used alot of his cars.

"The Taking of Pelham 123". A subway train, but a train nonetheless.
" The French Connection". An elevated train, but etc etc.
"The Gauntlet" (Dirty Harry 2).
