Doctor Zhivago has a few good train scenes in it, I saw it в русский язык классе сегодня.

(я говорю по-русски.:D)

I just saw I am legend. It didn't have a train in it; but it did have pics of a NYC subway station entrance and some Elevated track lines.

Green Acres had a train in some episodes! Oh! and there was an I love Lucy episode with a train it but I forget the details. The Great Locomotive Chase and The General are the same movie just different times of being made I believe. I mean The General is a comedy shot in black and white while The Great Locomotive Chase has color and sound.

Here's one most of us have...

Our own home movies usually feature a train at some point.

That doesn't actually mean they're the same. Shot in different eras, with different cast, technology, and audience. Only simularity is the topic.

I love old movies...here are a few with trains.

High Noon
Last Train From Gun Hill
Radar Men From The Moon (serial)
20th Century
Forbidden Planet (does the tube transporter count as a train?)
Bad Day At Black Rock
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence
Terror Train
North By Northwest
The Train That Wouldn't Die
I Married A Train From Outer Space

Cheers,
Fred

P.S. I was kidding about the last two. :D

trains in movies etc

We have a current TV series called "Heartbeat" and several locos are shown regularly unfortunately the authenticity is somewhat spoiled by the appearance of southern region "steamers" on tracks they would never have appeared on in the 1960s (the era the show is set in) also they use ex wd locos to pull passenger trains which is another definate never seen in thier hey day.ah well we cant all be perfect i suppose :hehe:

I know this thread is Old but..
1. Anastasia (1997) Rasputens demons destroy most of it
2. Disney's Airstocats, they almost get run over
3. Harry Potter
4. XXX (2001) trains appear in the backround
5. Rush Hour 2 or was it Rush Hour? when they are on the runaway subway
6. Every Around the world in 80 days movie (Especilly the Jackie Chan comedy)

ZORRONOV has nailed it with North by Northwest. Emperor of the North was special, but you've got to admit that Eva Marie Saint is a lot easier to look at than Ernest Borgnine. And those shots of the Washington-New York Corridor and Grand Central Station weren't bad either.

I saw another quick and dirty Hollywood Santa Fe reskin when I channel surfed to a Power Rangers SPD episode because I got bored.

Hollywood seems to like those Santa Fe reskins. That's 2-3 that I know of now.:o
