I've been hearing the reason for closing down their site was due that there wasn't enough traffic to keep paying for the site.
Cheers
So third party sites are a great way for creators to keep full control of their creations. And users have a choice of where to get those until the site closes and then those users are SOL, left high and dry, and any other metaphor that comes to mind.It was said on the FB page, the site was archived due to the fact that the other owner left (i think) and the remaining owner didnt want to pay the fees.
It looks like it's still accessible via the Wayback Maching: https://web.archive.org/web/2020021...hebackshops.com/trk_equ/freeware/signals.html
Wow, I was even able to download a file via the Wayback Machine! I wouldn't have thought that possible. Thanks for that tip, I needed a resource for a route I want to download and try out.
Without any deep investigation, perhaps '19 let the errors slide whereas '22 doesn't because of a stricter enforcement of the rules. Since some errors only cause a behind the track slowdown and are not immediately fatal, they can be ignored at the cost of performance and possible instability. Why would it be faulty in 22 but not in 19?
If the .tzarc files can be read in TRS19 but not TRS22, this points to the changes in TRS22 regarding .tzarc files. I had the same error message when I attempted to restore a route from a .tzarc because I thoroughly destroyed the route and I had to restore it. Ultimately, I ended going back to my cloned back-up and had to go forward. This turned out to be a good thing anyway for other reasons.Yep, the cdp's are corrupted from the Backshops on Wayback. I have a backup of the J35 Consolidation but it's faulty when I try to import it into Trainz 22PE SP5. <kuid2:46075:10101:2> : Not a valid archive file: 'kuid2 46075 10101 3.tzarc' (error: 0) I tried importing it into Trainz 19 and no errors. Why would it be faulty in 22 but not in 19? Would there be any way to fix it to work in 22PE SP5? I'm sorry for bumping an old thread but I am stumped as to why it errors in one version of 22. I have a newer install of 22 SP6 and it has no errors there. I think that my SP5 installation of 22 is corrupted or something. I guess then I can't use the loco in my SP5 22 and will have to use it in 19 or 22 SP6. If I upgraded to SP6 in my 22 SP5 would it work then? But then I couldn't roll back to SP5. SP6 had some issues that I'm not sure were fixed by N3V.
