What happened to my post

Admin - Whtr Happened to my post - Episode two

admin - Thanks for advising that my original post had been classified as SPAM.
Also thanks for unSPAMMING it and giving me a link to the post.

When I use the link I am politely advised that I do not have the correct permissions to access the post err doh ?!!! Its my post ???!!!
It appears posting on the forum is as difficult as converting an FBX file to Trainz format.

Please advise

Need to contact the helpdesk, looks like they haven't set the permissions up properly, does happen occasionally with new members. Link at top of the forum however to avoid getting lost in all the FAQ login using the Helpdesk link at the top of the forum then use this link. https://support.trainzportal.com/index.php?/Troubleshooter/Step/View/1

Post was moved by a mod, they don't have access to sort this out, needs to be the N3V admin. They are on Australian time so may not get done for a few hours.

Edit: Nearly forgot, welcome to the forum.

Don't know about the spam thing but the admins are quite stringent about posting in the correct forums. Besides, if you ask the question in the right forum, then you are more likely to to get a decent answer. Assuming your question was about FBX, then posting in the Content Creation forum will get an answer, but posting in General Trainz is likely to be missed. So, the admin is most likely doing you a favour. :)

Edit: On reading Clam's post, which crossed mine, perhaps you didn't have access to all the appropriate forums. This has been a problem. Currently, I'm not getting notifications from the forums so perhaps something is broken. I have reported my problem.

There obviously is something wrong with your account, as the section the post is in is something you should normally have access to.

Since I am not an administrator but a moderator, I can not look into your account and/or check your permissions. That is something only administrators can do and they are not scanning the forum for topics like this.
The way to solve this is to send a ticket to the Helpdesk (link found at the top of this page) and tell them about your access problem. They usually fix these things within 48 hours (after sending the ticket to the helpdesk).

For now, I will move your topic to General, but please do send that ticket to the helpdesk as you probably also don't have access to other regular areas of the forum.

Edit:
Happy to see two others also jumped your topic to help you out.

And once again a new member has to make a second post asking what has happened to their original posting. Surely it is not too much to expect that the join date of a poster is recognised by someone or the system and an explanation offered in regard to the moving of a post when it is obvious it is a new member making that post.

How unwelcoming the above must seem to those joining the Trainz franchise and this forum when in making their first posting they are treated as such. Do not people realize that members of this forum also post on other social media, and in that may state how they have been treated here.

This new member also indicated in his/her original post that he/she wished to become a content creator. As content creation is the basis of the Trainz franchise then discouraging that hardly enhances the future of this gaming interest.

Bill,

It was a forum glitch. Vbulletin software is quite buggy, though better than it was, and the scripts don't always play nice.

Yes John, but "glitch" or not as the case may be it is most definitely not the first time this has happened to new members of this forum. Needs sorting out and quickly.
