Grumpy Old Bastar*
I just ordered (besides TRS2009)
Industry Giant
Traffic Giant
and
Transport Giant.

'Industry Giant' requires a CD-Key and a CD to start , but is a 'digital download'

'Traffic Giant' states it won't install under 'Windows NT'

'Transport Giant' throws a GPF when you try to start a new game

Now I prolly have to go through pulling teeth to get my money back from Auran for this rubbish,

This is what I came back for??

I REALLY HOPE the 'digital download' of TRS2009WBE does better..

Hows it going Overlord, long time no see.

I hope you can sort this problem out, I'm sure Auran will help you out.

Hi OverlordNZ,

Long time no see.

Industry Giant - Not sure if that's Auran's problem or not really, they would just get it from the developer, Jowood.

Traffic Giant - Not sure about that one, again Jowood is the developer from memory, old game now.

Transport Giant - I have this game, very temperamental at best, you may find that it's your graphics card, Jowood again, I know they have problems with compatibility. It takes 3 - 4 tries before the game starts on my system.

Hope that helps and makes sense... :)

What makes sense to me is I PAID AURAN for them not Jowood and they are unplayable. Something better be done about it or they will see more of the 'Old Overlord' then they want to...

I DIDN'T PAY for a game that requires this krap, you would think if Auran has it on thier website they would know about it...

Sorry for my english, TG is not compatible with lastest nvidia drivers, only 1 driver works and the version is Forceware 169.02!

Its a old driver if you play new games maybe you get a poor performance, but this driver is compatible with TG!
Windows Vista is not compatible with the game! If you wanna the 2 things try do a dual boot!

I hope TRS2009 fairs better.

I understand your frustration Overlord concerning bodgy JOWOOD.

Personally... Never would I trust or even bother to purchase another Jowood product.

Since having played Far West on my old system a couple of years ago, the game would never advance past the first level!!! I tried endlessly to find a patch/fix for this, only to come across patches for certain video card issues & system compatibilities to allow the game to load. But absolutely no patches existed for the bugs in the game itself.

We eventually learn from our mistakes what we pay for in the long run.

:(

Some 9 years ago now, I made the mistake of "jumping before looking" & bought a game that refused to play on my old system, not to mention had no support, it quickly became my new coaster. Today is a different story, I read review's, join forums & check out demo's, all before I part with my cash. Fool me once, but not twice.

I'm sure the Auran store will give you a refund if they can, if not, you've got 3 new coasters :hehe: j'king

I didn't trust "Jowood", I trusted Auran because they were the one selling and advertising it.

A refund better be on the way, and they can get there money back from Jowood..

It was a 'digital download' I don't even have the 'coaster' to show for it (just another 1.8GB added to my traffic allotment)

Hi Overlord long time ..............I.m wondering why someone as smart as you would buy old games anyway? :o
So here we go again. :o

Because Auran was selling them? Maybe?..

And I'm wondering how someone as smart as you would stoop to being a troll?

Looks I guess..
So here we go again. :o

I want to be sympathetic but after just two days it seems that the desire to over blow any problem to a crisis has taken over again.

If you live in New Zealand, what language do they speek there?

If you have Vista, run the old games in compatibility mode.

Thought you were hard up for cash.

We will see how the finances are and maybe get into it ago. Seems there is also a few sims Auran is selling that look interesting. (Was annoyed RRT2 and TTD won't run under XP, (FORGET 'Vista' or Win7)

Might apply for beta if I can swing the purchase, money not good here since the 'retirement'
Cheers

Same old Overload.

Gotta have a problem and blame it on everyone else.

Bitch! Bitch! Bitch!

Frankly, I haven't missed you at all.

Maybe you should go back to your soap operas.

Then you can just scream at the screen.

Maybe a nap would help.

I'm retired Too.

It works for me!

This is incredible! Simply incredible! This guy bought a digital download of a game not even patched to be DD compliant...And yet, some of you have taken to assuming that the problems are all on Overlord's end.

Typical forum response....its NEVER the developer/retailers fault....

all you idiots accusing overlord must be trolls yourself or work for Jowood and are trying to support your product thats a P.O.S cause your paid to do so. this is a classic case of cyber bullying.

I would suggest that you contact the original manufacturer for help. I doubt the Auran can help you.
