Chillin'
I have been working on another version of the Western Pennsylvania Railroad. This incarnation of the railroad is a sub located in anthercite country. Mainly the industries on the route are mines, with a small automobile factory, a few smaller boxcar industries, a chemical plant, and two lumber yards. As of now, the route has a total of 4 1/2 miles of trackage, at least around that. I have a good bit of the scenery done, around 3/4s at least what I started...I have posted a few screenshots in various areas, USA pics, screenshot of the week. Down towards the west area of the layout, the railroad becomes double track, with one track owned by CSX and the other track is owned by WPRR, around this area is where the grade starts. It's travels over Mount Davis, the highest point in PA. WPRR uses GP40s as it's prime movers on the "flat" but for the grades, WPRR employed two Norfolk Southern Dash 9-40CWs, six CSX SD40-2s all on lease, with no patchouts. Well, onto a few pics.
