West Somerset Railway

Looks promising and I could maybe be using that on my build of the N.I.R. For Moira Station (actually the oldest station innthe Province) on the Portadown route I had to use a small station building with a floor above whereas this would be nearer to the thing. Will be interested to se how it works out.

Could someone please tell me what the 0-8-0 loco in Post 49 is, and where it is? Thanks.

This route is looking great, just what I need to run some British Rail steam on!

Good job!

If I could model i'd love to help out.

I have the WSR add on for Trainz but never really used it as it was broken and never fixed.. So this will be awesome.

Train driver needs to be installed onto TRS2006, then save it as a .cdp (in CMP) and then install into TRS2010 etc. heres a thread which explains it: http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=45684&highlight=west+somerset+railway

This looks interesting.

Many years ago Just Trains released a commercial package named Train Driver which depicted the WSR in a 'stand alone' package based on the TRS2004 core. In this package is a DMU Class 117 as on the WSR. Here is a screenie of Minehead station from the package with said DMU.

The one in privite's screenie looks like the class 101 which is available on the DLS.

It will be interesting to compare the older, commercial version, with the newer by privite which looks superb at the moment.

BTW, I can get the JT WSR to run in TS2010 by importing the JT WSR content.

Rob.

Out of curiosity, how did you do it?

@hholdenaz

If you interested in the West Somerset Railway you could download from the DLS the layout 'Turks Castle' (kuid2:129486:1801294:1). Whilst Privite works on his up to date version, this a fair representation of WSR to use in the meantime.

This was made for TRS2004 but I have imported it into TRS2006, TRS2009, TRS2010 and TS2012. Since I prefer to run in native mode, I have replaced a few of the assets which did not suit native, but you could run it in compatability mode if you want.
