Using the magnificence of alpha textures, I have done this:



I can tell you how to do it on your end, and you can replace the static flags with the reskins of the animated ones.

Hi Craig,

I'll do it in steps for you:

1. Clone the Conwy Castle asset
2. Open it for edit in Explorer.
3. Open flag.tga and white2.tga if your image editing program. I use Paint.NET. Simple and gets jobs like this done.
4. Erase the colour from those images. If all you get it white, change the image's opacity to 0.
5. Save the images, overwriting the originals.
6. Open flag.texture.txt and white2.texture.txt in a simple word processor like Notepad or Wordpad.
7. Add the line Alpha=flag.tga to te flag one and add Alpha=white2.tga to the white2 one. Also add AlphaHint=semitransparent to both.
8. Save those.
8. Go to the Config and change the username to saomething to indicate the change if you desire.
9. Commit the castle.

Hi Kieran, sorry for not replying sooner, but my internet has been very slow of late.

Anyway, I can't get the flag out of Conwy castle, so I must be doing something wrong and I bet you it's something really easy to do.

I'll keep on trying till I get it right.
