I don't know I wouldn't call them "weird"
Personally I really like 10001 Beech Grove (3rd pic)

In order:

Pic 1: Part of the Amtrak/USPS "Celebrate the Century" tour. Dig that Southern RPO in the backgound! :udrool:

Pic 2: A converted Amcan track inspection car. Note the panto for checking the catenary.

Pic 3: As PerRock said: 10001, the Beech Grove, a private car for Amtrak officials and guests.

Pic 4: FRA partyvan! :p "A self-propelled United States Department of Transportation car seen on the Norfolk Southern mainline in Ranlo, North Carolina."
well excuse me for never seeing these kinds of trains in my life >.<

Actually 10001 is also a cat. inspection car. that little glass box thing on the roof has some "special" equipment (I know there are cameras in there, maybe some other stuff). But it's primary use is a Business Car.

I like the one labeled "Corridor Clipper". I wouldn't mind a full train set of these.
Amfleet EMUs. The Future of Trainz!!:Y:

Except that they aren't EMUs...the Panto is hooked up to equipment for testing in the inside.

Saw the "Corridor Clipper" once on a regional... except it wasn't under the wire!

(between Washington and Richmond)

It could be an EMU if we wanted it to be. This is Trainz, after all.:D
Magicland did some Amfleet II cars in 2002. I don't see anything newer on the DLS except one Paintshed car. Are there any Metroliners available?

nope.

Corey; was working on a metroliner, a Michigan coach (ex-metroliner now coach), and 10001. But this was back with AGZ, I have no clue what the status is on these.

Oh just remembered if you caught them connyxy released a set of amfleets as well; but again just the standard ones, none of the ones seen here.

Here's the other end of the postage stamp car.

The picture's too big to post.

And while doing a Google search for Amfleet, I found this thread by Jefff944. http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=8602 Everything disappeared after last December.

And some footage of some Amfleets dwarfed between a pair of baby bullets on the Surfliner run.

that other scheme was to be used on the regionals to match with the Acela. Amtrak soon realized that amfleets were to precious to have stuck to one consist and so they have since been scattered around the US; although most of the Capstone (thats the name of the scheme) cars still remain on the NEC.

Actually, the acela "splotch" paint scheme is completely gone. Just 2 days ago I rode an Acela to washington d.c. and back and all the amfleets I saw were in phase iv paint.
