There are plenty of tutorials on using Blender, the 3D creation tool of choice for many assets creators (and its free!).
I have a copy of Blender on my system and I keep it up to date. Every once in a while I start it up, I look at the array of palettes and control devices and then shut it down again. Like you I don't have the confidence (or is it courage) and time to learn a new set of tricks - Surveyor 2.0 was a steep enough learning curve.
I have Blender, too. And I HAVE been working on a model of a BR Class 17 diesel locomotive, but I'm not quite ready to tackle a steam locomotive just yet. And yes, Cromford is a locomotive. It seems that no one has even thought of making a model of this engine from the Bluebell Railway. I really wish someone did, though.

i can think of scores of items that I want for various projects . A few of them are locos , wish i was younger I would have had a serious go at 3d modelling, but i have tried it and its beyond my capability , your best bet it to try get a consortium together and commission one. However good luck with that, I've tried a few times and no one is interested ( although my needs are for obscure US NG and 1900s STD gauge stuff, not a huge number of people model any of that stuff, so creators would not make much out of making them as payware and most creators are busy making stuff for their own interests..

About a third of the time need for content creation is the research. So do you have plans, front and side photos? I understand bluebell have an 0-6-0 loco of the same type floating round so take good camera down there and take some photos. Once you have a research pack it will be easier to tempt someone.

That's the EXACT locomotive I want to see a model of. But also, I don't have ANY photos of Cromford. I live in Canada, and I've never been to England, even though I hope to visit sometime. The only 3D models of that engine I've ever seen are found on ROBLOX, and those models probably aren't compatible with Trainz. However, I did find this little ortho of Cromford:
Unfortunately, I haven't found front and back orthos yet.

Have a look on HMRS, if you're close to Ottawa you can drop round for a coffee.That's the EXACT locomotive I want to see a model of. But also, I don't have ANY photos of Cromford. There are proper drawings for the North London goods tanks available in various places online, including the NRM website and in old issues of engineering periodicals available form online archives. They're also in the North London Railway Pictorial Record book. I have several versions stashed away in my folder of potential future projects (no definite plans to build a model anytime soon though).
Nothing useful. The only thing they have of the Class 75 is a sectional plan, which doesn't help.

Have a look at Ed's suggestions. Basically ideally you need a plan with dimensions front and side view plus photos front and side. A
sectional plan is a start. Try digging on https://www.rmweb.co.uk/ in the forums, and as Ed suggested https://www.railwaymuseum.org.uk/. HMRS have a forum for members as well.

Another thing to look at is the locos have two parts, the top bit and the moving wheels. Find a bogey the right size then all you need is the superstructure.
