WCL 2

WCL2 & ATLS

Just an update to let you all know I am still dabbling with the part of the Reading route.
I have put in the ATLS assets to control traffic crossing because trains can go hammering along this section and crossings and in particular barrier types, don't get the arms down fast enough.
Here are 3 shots with different ypes showing the train speed and you can see all barriers and gates are fully down and/or closed.

All great stuff and has resolved the crossing problems.

Thanks to the asset creator for the assets and to Photobucket for the hosting.

Angela,

I am unfamiliar with your work having not had a chance to download any of your routes... yet. But I always look out for your screenshots and I have never had a chance to comment on what fine work you do. Your routes are very different to what I am used to in Queensland! Do the British even know what brown, dry grass looks like? :hehe:

Once again, keep up the good work!
Cheers!
Mitch

Hi Mitch,
Yes, surprisingly we do know what dried up grass looks like, we can get hot summers, although in comparison I expect they are rather cool to yours.
Our problem is that as soon as the Sun shines for more than a week all use of hosepipes is banned, so the grass dies back badly.
However, I like to be optimistic so try to keep most of my grass green....

Thanks for your comments.

Angela

EDIT :- Oh, and they were just test runs so please nobody comment that I was well over the limit!

New pix

I have decided to revamp parts of the route. It may well end up me doing a lot of it but for now I have worked to Newbury. A bit more to do on this stretch yet vut I thought it an idea to put new pictures up because I lost several of the old ones when the PC broke..

AA_Aldermaston_1.jpg

Approaching Aldermaston. This is at the start of this section.

AA_Aldermaston_2.jpg

Just after passing the station at Aldermaston.

AA_Aldermaston_3.jpg

And now beginning to get into open country.

AA_Aldermaston_4.jpg

The first of the unmanned crossings.

AA_Midgham2.jpg

Now approaching Midgham station.

AA_Midgham.jpg

Midgham station in view.

More to come, and thanks to Photobucket for the free hosting.

Second set

AA_Thatchamapproach.jpg

Thatcham approach.

AA_Thatchamapproach2.jpg

Some factories and yards just before the station.

AA_Thatchamdepart.jpg

And some more past it.

AA_Thatchamfactory.jpg

Unbelievably there is a loading dock in there, just past the last just past!

AA_NewburyFarembankment.jpg

Embankments on the way to Newbury. I took out the old ones made using the Raise Ground Tool.

AA_Neburyrevamped.jpg

And over the canal as the line curves towards Newbury and passes the golf course and race track.

Thanks again to Photobucket.

Well, thank you kind Sir. And it's good to see you back again on the forum and working in our favourite program.
As I received a major computer crash and then the shop lost around 5-6 Gig of Dispatcher data the second section may be a little while yet, especially since I have taken the decision to upgrade hedging and some woodland splines to more realistic single trees. Also adding more ground clutter like grasses and bushes, it looks a bit bare otherwise.
But I am getting there, albeit at a steady pace.

As I progress I will pop a few more screenies up.

Bless you,

Angela
