A very late but early in the morning CN train L599 is seen here at Wausau as it makes its way north for Prentice....This train usually leaves at night after 9pm...
It has been a great while, but I finally got a chance to mess around a little bit. It has been a long summer of working with little time for the simulator.
The local out of Bradley has just came over from Prentice with a cut of cars that will go south, but before the day is done we will be going to Rhinelander to switch out NDS, the Paper Mill and American Plastics. This also marks the last day for coal to the paper mill in Rhinelander as well as other paper mills across the state such as Wisconsin Rapids. CN did not renew the contract and apparently doesn't want that business anymore.
In no mans land between Heafford Junction and Woodboro.
A mile west of Woodboro.
At Woodboro. The siding to the left is no longer in place.
East of Woodboro my private crossing can be found off of 8.
Going to couple onto 2 box cars, bring them out and then set this box car on the west side of the mill.
With all switching duties completed, our train goes back into the yard to tie onto the 2 covered hoppers that we originally brung with us from Bradley. Once we do an air and brake test we will head west to make a pick up and set out at American Plastics and a pickup at NDS.
On board train L599 as the Wausau switcher comes back from switching out 3M
L599 at Tomahawk
Here we see the power from L599 sitting in the siding here at Bradley....He will wait for a train from Rhinelander and Prentice before heading back south to Wausau as train L598
