WC Shotz

Today we chased the CN train that takes cars up to Franz to interchange them with the CP, todays train consists of logs, steel rods, steel beams and coils....

We first catch him leaving Steelton Yard

Then awakening the small community of Northland

Passing a CN work truck that was working on the signals

Coming into Hawk Jct

Taking the WYE here at Franz to get onto the CP tracks and head into their small interchange yard

Cutting away from its consist, the train heads back onto the mainline and heads back to Hawk Jct to tie up for the day....Nothing on the other tracks to bring back with them, goes to show that the CP has not come here yet to drop off cars to take back

Sitting by the yard office, the train awaits its next assignment (more than likely it will be to go and get the cars from the CP and bring them back to Steelton)

Time to shift back over in the central Wisconsin area for the day....We are set up in Tomahawk where we got word that they leased a GP40 for a while as their switchers went into service...So we headed over that way to see what action we can catch......

We are set up right out side their yard office where todays switcher begins the day by picking up some cars that was left by the WC in their interchange yard

A side shot of the power they have leased

We then raced to the other side of town to see him spot a few boxcars at a near by industry

He then headed back to the yard for a bit to switch out the yard for the WC train LO12 to pick up some cars as its train will be due here later today to head back to Wausau from Prentice

He then tied up for the afternoon for lunch and wait for the WC train to drop more cars off in there yard for the big paper mill that is located on the other side of town

But our time was near done and head back home as another day will bring us to another chase to another RR in Wisconsin or upper Michigan.........

Till next time

It's a standard cab in IC paint, ya gotta love it!

CN train A416 (the push-me pull-me train) that runs between Stevens Point and Green Bay is seen here at Waupaca...It has a loco on each end to void a run-a-round at Neenah

The pusher at the end pushing hard to keep this train at track speed

The Y0913 the Wausau 3M Switch heads out from the 3M plant and heads back to the West Yard where it will spot these cars and grab empties to shove back to the plant and then come back to the West Yard and run LHF back to the main yard with the loads.....A Wausau cop sits and watches people who don't come to a complete stop at RR Xings as the CN called the local police that people are blowing the crossings

This is my first attempt at Trainz 2012 and for right now I just wanted to get familiar with a few things so I am using standard rolling stock. Please let me know if these screenshots are too big.

Today, a CN local has arrived at Hawk Jct where it will be switching and swapping a few cars.

Arriving at Hawk Jct.

After picking up a set of cars and making a couple drop offs, our local is ready to continue for further duties.

Yeah, I noticed there were no numbers! lol! I will do that next time. Thanks for the tip. Also not sure about the operations up in Hawk Jct., but I wanted to do something with the route last night at least.

I am currently working on the Rhinelander branch. My line will go from Rhinelander on west to Bradley. It will include the main Rhinelander yard along with the paper mill tracks as well as a couple industries along the line. So far I have laid some track only (Rhinelander main yard to be precise). I am fairly new at all this so it will take me some time that is for sure. For whatever reason it seems very hard to make yard tracks.
