I was looking around on the wayback machine to see if i could look at the old website url auran(dot)com/trs2006 which you cannot access anymore.
I found the auran website and i saw the trs2006 link but apparently when i clicked it it told me "this link has been excluded from the wayback machine" and later that week i triedgoing back to aurans webpage on it and now its telling me that it's been excluded too! If anyone knows why the site has been excluded please reply.

That appears to be a gif from trainzproroutes.org. No idea why it would be there.

On TS06: I vaguely recall, some years ago, someone (Auran?) saying they were removing files relating to old and unsupported builds. We were encouraged to download whatever we needed before it was removed. TS06, and TS04, had lots of information about building assets including samples etc. I downloaded a bunch but I cleaned them out last year.

but im still wondering why the auran website was completly excluded from the wayback machine...
there was probably a virus on it like spyware but i doubt it completly. the only reason why i think it was excluded is because goggle(dot)com was also excluded since it had spyware around 2004-2008 but theres no way of knowing i guess

Quite simple actually, some sites don't permit copying their sites especially if copyright is involved and permission was not obtained, so will request it is removed, which the wayback machine will honour, refusal could be expensive if lawyers get involved.

If you exclude folders on a robots.txt file, the wayback machine will respect the directions in the robots.txt file.
