Washington Logging

Another hint

Break up those textures by layering in spots are different scales. best to use the smallest first and pick carefully, some just look bad no matter what you do!

Logs

I mean what length of log- 16ft,20ft,or 40ft? The way I am setting this up, you can add as many as you want strung out in a line, just like a train. Just need to know how far apart the limits need to be.

Definitely has some potential for Operation - You REALLY Need to Make Wider Curves though. NG Logging RRs had Relatively Smaller Radii Turns, but Not EVER ones that Turn 180 degrees in 20 Feet. :o

And Try Looking for Standard Gauge (SG) Trestles to match your Trackage... ;)

Fixed Track

I like using : "Fixed Track 200m R 15 Degree" as a tracklaying template for mainline. Then I lay my track right on top, or next to it, using the "Fixed Track" as a gude only. Later I simply pull the circle of fixed track away, and lay it aside for future use.

There are tighter radius fixed track, that you can lay in a complete circle, and place it, or drag it and lay it asside for future use.

I like to keep a painters pallet of: loco's, railcars, texture colors, track, and buildings on an extra unused baseboard, so that when I need an item, I just go there and use the "Grab Tool"to copy the asset I need

Log Float

I send you a transport device for your logs. look here:
http://www.geocities.com/ac_monkeywrench_models/Components
Is not eazy to work with water bodies, man! but see if it works for ya! And if anyone have an suggestions of how to improve it, let me know.
Description and directions: "Driveable moving device with interior, used for sending logs down rivers, can add up to three logs of your choice per section and can be operated as singles or linked togeather like a train. Setting up the invisible track is best done by placing fixed vertexes 1 meter above the ground next to your water, then move to desired route and adjust as needed. To link to the sections, view from overhead and click on MWM Sign at 100 meters. Add a driver and click him to find quickly. Set up for 20Ft logs, so to load 40Ft logs, add a section without loads in between."
