Warwick Wallangarra - Trigger Check 1066 not installed.

After a few months not playing, I find out that going to play a saved session of Warwick to Wallangarra gives me a problem.

  • When loading, an Alert tells me there is a problem with the asset "Trigger Check" with KUID ending in 1066. See Image 1
  • If I go to the Asset Manager, I see it is not loaded and if I click "Download" in the context menu, it does not do anything. See Image 2.
  • If I see the "List Asset Versions", I get to see that 1066 is obsolete and in addition has an "Unknown location", but that is in the middle of a chain getting to 1071 which is the current version. See Image 3.

Q1: Should the route auto-update to consume 1071 instead of 1066?
Q2: How do I get rid of the warning?
Q3: Should I be afraid of any miss-functionality as stated in the warning?

NOTE 1: Note that the session was saved on march/8th and the updated asset released march/11th.
NOTE 2: If I launch the original Warwick-Wallangarra session (not the saved one) it starts normally, without warning.

Thanks in advance!
Xavi.

Quickie fix. Delete the 1071 asset and let it roll back to 1066. This will clear the error. I agree a route should update the asset kuids with the asset updates, but, a quirk is a quirk.

The more involved Trainz gurus should be able to help get the route to recognize the 1071. Something to do with obsolete kuids in the config IIRC.

Well 2 years later and I'm playing the passenger trip from Wallangarra to Warwick. There is a major problem that once you arrive at Warwick, it does not recognise that fact and once time reaches 12.45pm, it says you failed to arrive. Is it missing a trigger, although I see track marks in place, so I don't see a simply solution.

I could be wrong but I seem to recall that this route and/or session had the same or a similar problem when it was released. Don't recall what the solution was or if there was a solution. My copy of the route/session came installed with Trainz.

I looked and there was no trigger to check for a train arriving at Warwick, although there was one for Stanthorpe. I added the requirement to check for any train arriving at Warwick, but that didn't work. I'll have another go at this. Odd, as it was also installed when I bought the "new Era." (You'd think they'd make sure it works) ;-)

Updated. I found the problem, it's set to trigger when the train reaches "HOTT 110m wideplatform." It NEVER does because the train is naturally set to arrive at the platform. However this item is set over the second track away from the platform! Pretty slack to release something with a major fault like that. It can not be edited either, so all you can do is be aware of it and change the points (if possible) immediately before the platform and take the second track. Shall test that later.

Finally, whilst working on a Zig-Zag Lithgow map, got to complete the run. It only triggers if you pull into the second track, rather than the one next to the station. So at least you now get your score awarded. ;)
