Wall splines from DES

I LOVE the new Wall and Roof splines from Dave Snow, but I want to know what the trick is to get them all lined up properly. When using TANE, I keep getting the warning that the splines are NOT COMPATIBLE and have to resort to placing the splines away from each other and then MOVING them into place to keep from getting the warning. Is there any way to get the different ones to "snap" onto one another and line up ??

Thanks.

Use the shift key when aligning them up. It keeps them from bopping on you and not doing anything.

Yeah, I figured that out already, John. I just wish they would stick together from the beginning, that would make it a lot faster to assemble a building. I should just be happy that Dave made these great assets !! Now I can make just about any warehouse building that I need.

Thanks,

They'll stick together if you don't use the shift key, but then you can't make corners. Seems we need a spline that will make a corner instead of rounding the area off. That would be nice! REAL nice, huh??

BTW, I'll be releasing more Wall Splines from time to time, with or without notice.

Hi, Just a quick thought..
When I use splines I often do not hold down the shift key but click on the "Join spline Q" button this then breaks the spline at a sharp angle.
Just my 2 pennyworth.

What I actually should have said is that after assembling four walls to make a square, when attempting to attach the roof splines exactly over the wall splines, that is when the "warning" pops up and TANE will not let dissimilar splines connect to each other (although I don't know why). At that point I have to lay the roof edge splines off to the side, then "move" them into place while holding the shift key. It would save time (and aggravation) if the two different splines would SNAP to each other.

Thanks, Dave, for another great asset.
