None of their products sold in my country are affected.
Food for thought; if they had to cheat so badly (40x over limit) what are the chances they're not the only ones doing it? VW isn't some Chinese knockoff outfit, they have decades of experience and arguably the best engineering in the world.
Good for you Kieran. Im afraid my wife cannot get into one of those due to her disability. We currently have a Touran (2nd One) but at moment we are not sure how the emission changes will affect the performance etc. Sad really they had such a good reputation
I would say I have a deep interest in full electrics and hybrids after paying attention to the LMP1 category in the world endurance championship. These emissions results show we need to keep pushing from the technological forefront to produce better vehicles. Yes I know the argument of you're simply moving emissions elsewhere, but a power plant is still more efficient that an internal combustion engine...
Wouldn't know for sure, all I would say is probably. VW sub-brands often use standardised parts, so it's a possibility. Mind you, given the amount of technical information and part sharing vehicle manufacturers deal with now, I would be suspicious of any diesel produced this century.
