I'm looking for three to five bright people who can help me with the Trainz Resources Directory. For those of you familiar with the site, you will know that at almost 1,000 pages it's possibly the largest Trainz site out there. It's visited by 4,000 people a week and they manage to sift their way through almost 20,000 listings during that time.
Until now the TRD has been totally written and maintained by me, but I've reached the point where I need help. I'm not asking for much, so if you enjoy writing and doing a little research this could be a very interesting and rewarding pastime for you without getting in the way of your other activities.
What I need is a few Editors. I'll supply the URL of a web site associated with Trainz and all I need you to do is visit the site and write a short review. If you go to any listing on the TRD, you will see the reviews range in size from 100 to 300 words. Some are longer, but that's rare.
If I can get 3 to 5 helpers, you would only have to visit one or two sites a week initially, and maybe one a week from there on. There won't be any rush. You can take a week or so to hand in your reviews and I'll then insert them into the directory and give you full editorial credit.
I'll list you as editors on each page and every review you write. There's no money involved because the TRD doesn't pay its way. Your support will be a way of giving something back to the community, but if you're still at school, you can even mention your participation in your CV.
You can be any age, but I'd prefer reliable people 18 plus who can look at a web site and write a decent review.
Any takers?
Please PM me if you're interested.
John
