Virtual Train network

Hi All

Can any one tell me if there is a web site that is a virtual train network so all train drivers can connect together on the same network of rail with rail track controllers as well. To give you an idea what i mean have a look at this site www.ivao.aero this is the same but for flight sim (you have online pilots and ATC all working together). This makes its so real.

If not does any one know how to create one for the future

I've long thought about this. You're suggesting something like a virtual model railroad club where Trainzers could come together and operate a club layout together through some sort of network arrangement. It's a good, fun idea, but I have no clue how to make it work or even if it's possible. There's nothing like it I've been able to find for Trainz. There was a similar feature for Sid Meier's Railroads!, but it got low marks for reliability as I recollect.

Why don't you explore the possibilities?

Well the iportal doesn't do what you want. It just sends a consist from comp to another. But from what i hear TRS09 and probably TRSX will have multiplayer capabilities.

As far as I know, there is no new multiplayer features in TRS09. That's planned as part of TRS X, although nothing more specific is known at this time.

Multiplayer would be fun, could be simple, like SS08's multiplayer.

Yes, does anyone remember my punkbuster suggestion i made about half a year ago? Well now it all become apparent eh? eh? I remember one or two of our beloved members saying "punkbuster? why the hell would we need that?", Well, without punkbuster, we'll be getting people steeling other peoples passengers, leaving coal trucks on junctions, speeding, using too much sand, sending spam messages.. imagine the warfare!
