Virtual reality within Virtual reality?

As I've said elsewhere on these forums, I'm about as Noobie as one can be; couple weeks.
I have all sorts of ideas about virtual Trainz layouts I'd like to build, but I also realize it is time consuming and not easy.
The latest brain tease is:
Is it possible to create a small layout with certain industry requirements, fed by a invisible VR?
In my layout would be a lumber mill, fed by coal and logs, producing finished lumber. People would come and go in passenger cars.
For now let's leave it at that.
So what I want to do is have a consist leave the plant with lumber and disappear into a tunnel, a 2 track tunnel. On some preset schedule I'd like consists to emerge from the other tunnel track loaded with coal and logs that I can unload and send emptied into that other VR. And from time to time workers arrive and leave on passenger cars.

I don't want the details of the hows if it's possible, just some word on feasibility.

Duh.
Not 5 minutes after writing this I'm reading an article in "Virtual Railroader and it appears that this is built in to Trainz.
:(:confused::o Ozzie

Hi Ozzie,

I glad you discovered Virtual Railroader. John and Al have several routes available for download there that are setup to run as you want. A good way to learn would be to download some of them and poke around in surveyor to see how they are setup.
