Video Card Upgrade?

Feelin' The Flow
Just bought a new HP desktop, should have done my research better, anyway long story short it has the integrated AMD graphics and it's terrible. I have been looking at the GeForce GTX 560 and was just curious if anyone here is using this card? Seems to fit the budget/performance I am after, I think.

I'm using a 560 Ti, it doesn't break into a sweat. Have a look at a 570 though. It's higher in the gaming card league but depends on what the price difference is whether you think it's worth it.

ATI Radeon cards are more affordable and Nvidia cards have a reputation for being power hungry. Get yourself an ATI 6950 or 6970 and they'll eat Trainz for breakfast. If you do, make sure it is the 2GB version.

Whatever, board you purchase, make sure your PS can handle the extra load. I prefer nVidia cards. If your PS is rated at 400W or less, take a look at the GT 430 or 440.

If you are serious about games don't get a low end video card unless you box is crap. (just cause it is new dose not mean it has good / new stuff in it) rather get a better PSU

I know it seems I am always posting this link, but the site does have information that can help one choose a video card, including price points.
I used this link earlier and settled on an XFX Radeon HD 6700 only to get it installed and realize there is no 6 pin power connection on my new HP. I know the power supply would have been on borrowed time anywayso this is a good thing. New power supply it is.

Well 1 Corsair GS600 and a HD6770 later... I am one happy camper! The HD 6770 runs amazingly smooth. Thank you all for the advice.
