not sure what's going on? may well be a windows error, rather than a trainz editor, but here goes:
Whenever I open trainz (TRS2006), the installer for Blackberry Desktop Software also opens, and until I cancel the Blackberry installer, Trainz won't load. any ideas? It's not major, but just annoying more than anything else.

That's weird!

Try running the Launcher.exe directly from your Trainz folder - usually c:\Program Files\Auran\Trainz\TRS2006, or something like that.

If this works, delete the shortcut on your desktop, if this is where you're launching the program from, and that should fix your problem.

It sounds to me like the launcher link got mixed up for the shortcut.

Hope this helps.

Tried that, didn't make any difference, there's some pretty strange stuff happening with my copy of trainz  Thank you for your help anyway

Could be a registry problem, although not one I've ever come across.
Out of interest what is the file name for the Blackberry installer, wondering if it's got the same name as a trainz file?
I'd suggest uninstalling the blackberry installer, run a registry cleaner such as Ccleaner and reinstall it, that should hopefully stop it happening.

Not sure where to find it, I've already uninstalled the blackberry software, and deleted any files relating to it, so I have no idea where the installer is running from. I tried to find out from task manager, but no luck. And I've already reinstalled trainz (I had a problem with it before but can't remember what it was), so I'm not sure if reinstalling it again will help

Probably be in either your downloads folder or temporary folder? that's where most installers end up and get left!
