Using Navigate to Station v2

Is there any way to automatically reset the command 'navigate to station' in a repeated list of driver commands? I am trying to get it to find an empty random platform, each time I arrive at a particular 4 platform station. I am finding that once I have used the command in the repeat list, the command continues to try to re-navigate to the same platform.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks Shane. I thought it should work that way, but it doesn't seem to want to. Any suggestions.

I am using the following commands in this sequence: Drive to Station X (Random), Load, Wait for minute, Navigate to Y, Load, Navigate to Z, load, .........., repeat.

That may be part of the problem - pguy should be able to confirm whether his command works properly with the Repeat command.

DriveToStation should work with repeat command, but I don't think we have done some tests with this configuration. So I consider this as a bug and I will try to reproduce it. If rmdk22 has already a route and session where the problem can be redone and can send me the route and session as a cdp, it can help.

regards.

Pierre.

If you use the same commands in a schedule do it in the schedule library and instead of repeat use copy commands from. Re enter the same schedule and the drive to station will be reset for use again. In driver once some commands have been activated they adopt the last target set before the repeat.

Thanks Shane, Pierre and Stagecoach for your help with this problem.

I don't seem to have any problems with any of the other commands (Hope that statement doesn't come back to haunt me).

Pierre - The route I am using is Razorback Railway, which I have adjusted/repaired to run in TRS12. I think the file is pretty big as I have plenty of consists and drivers. Unfortunatey I wouldn't know how to go about creating a CMP for the route and session to get to you.

Stagecoach - I have used 'copy commands from' quite often in the past, but not with this particular consist. I want the train to continuously run this route so to 'copy commands from' would create an enormous command list, possibly causing a problem in itself.

Shane - I will be interested to know if you can replicate my problem.

Thanks once again fellas.

Creating a CDP is simple enough - find and select the relevant assets under My Content in Content Manager, then right-click > Save as CDP.

One thing regarding the Repeat command though - this will also create a large command list as well.

Shane

Place all the commands in the library that you have in the driver list. At the end don't use repeat but use copy commands from and select the same schedule. This acts the same as repeat but will load a clean schedule. Use insert and not amend and the commands will drop out when each is completed and then reload the schedule and start again.

Pguy has rectified this problem - many thanks Pierre.

Thanks in general to the trainz community for the ongoing help and assistance that they provide.

I confirm the bug has been identified and a new version of DriveToStation and NavigatetoStation fixing the problem has been produced and tested with success by rmdk22. The new version is nowgoing to be uploaded to DLS in a few hours or few days. I will make an update to this post when it will be available for download on DLS.

Sorry for the bug. Regards.

Pierre.

New version of DriveToStation and NavigateToStation are now available on DLS. They fix the bug that was encountered when using these commands in à schedule with the repeat option.

cool on that fix... =) I have a question about quick portal manager 3 v21 (latest) Im using TS12 3.6 and finding I cant add driver commands before the train is released from the portal...? This happens on all routes I ve tried...after train is released I can then add commands to that train., never had problems with TS10 though? is this a known issue? thnx Dave

It's more of a feature than a bug. The portal retains control until the driver is allocated to the train which usually requires it to be most of the way out of the portal. If you are using QPM though, that does have the ability to queue commands in Surveyor for the train to follow once the portal releases control of the train.

thnx Shane in 2010 you could add the commands while running trains but just noticed on the DLS that theyres a multi player version which I haven't dl'd but assuming that it must be for 2012 I ll have to try it....Dave =)

QPM uses a driver order bar object to edit driver commands in a browser window while in driver mode, and N3V no longer supports driver order bar object edition with builds including multiplayer support. So you can no longer edit QPM driver orders in driver mode since TS2010 multiplayer edition, TS2012 or TS MAC as you can before in TS2009 or TS2010.

There are two new versions of QPM v2 and v3 which will include Schedule Library Rule import support, just now in beta test, that should bring some other type of editing capabilities by enabling driver orders replacement, insert or append from pre-established driver orders saved in the schedule library rule. These new versions should be released now in a two monts delay.

hope this helps.
