Using downloaded content in surveyor

Often when I download a route on the DLS, I want to use some of the content from that route on routes I'm building (for personal use only- my routes are terrible). However, very little of that downloaded content seems to appear in my content lists in surveyor.

For example, if I download a route that has a really nice terminus station, that I want to use, I find out what it's called, but then when I do a search in surveyor to actually use it, it's not there. Why is this?


Also, is it possible to get the York Station used in the ECML as an asset I can use myself?

Hi Alex,

Ensure that the content isn't open for edit or missing dependencies. In the filters (the icon on the bar that looks like a tornado), you can choose categories and regions, etc., similar to what you can in Content Manager and you should find what you installed.

The content is usually content that works fine in the route for which I downloaded it but then can't be found when I create a brand new route.

Hi

York station isn't a single asset but is built up from a large number of individual assets. The only way to get the station would be by cloning the route and then deleting all the unwanted boards which is quite a time consuming task. If you decide to try that then save the new route frequently as I found that it will freeze or crash if you delete too many boards between saves, and you will lose the changes that you have made in that time.
