Using Car Spawners with No Traffic Roads

I wanted to set up a one-way road where the cars would only head in one direction around a loop. I didn't see any road splines configured as such, but I did find car spawners with no road, but cars going in one direction only. I tried overlaying these onto a road spline with no traffic. I would think that the cars should generate and be seen driving over the road which does not generate cars of its own. Instead, I find the spawner splines stop spawning once overlayed. I can have them side by side and the spawner generates cars just fine. The moment I overlay, however, it stops. This also happens with two-direction car spawning splines as well.

Are there any roads where I can change the direction in the config file? I haven't seen any, but I only looked at a random sampling.

I tried the invisible road attachment thing, but that didn't work either. Then one day I came across this here, and you can easily change the config file for any road to make it into a one way street. I did that with a couple of the YARN roads for my trolley layout where I have a park in the middle and the one way traffic on either side.

Add in the following line to your modified road.

isfreeway 1

For two lanes, use this too:

numlanes 2

This works like a champ for what you want.

Just remember to drag the roads in the opposite direction you want the traffic to drive in. I know it's weird, but it has to be done that way.

Have you tried my " C+ RN Traffic Spawner 1 way Carrate 30,<kuid:243828:1634> " asset ? This was designed for use with my other road assets (all on the DLS, search for "C+ RN"). You could also modify the roads in this series as suggested by John and I'm not averse to your releasing the modified versions to the DLS if you decide to release any routes in which they are used.
