Eaglefan,

The Mojave route does not include the ATSF / BNSF yard in Bakersfield, nor is the north end of the SP / UP yard complete scenically (aside from the track.). What you are seeing is how the route comes OOTB, so don't be concerned that you are missing something. The route really starts at the south end of the SP / UP yard.

That being said, I still find the route to be extremely well done.

Regards,
Mc

Thanks. Kinda dissapointing to be honest with you as Bakersfield is really considered to be part of the subdivision. Oh well.....

-Depending on which yard you are talking about, but as is, I saw it as there was no point for the yard. The route is a point to point route. Not yard switching, etc. Plus the 2 round houses in the SP yard were being demolished in the 85-95 time frame. Not much has went on there for quite some time! So in my eyes there were many reasons not to put the yard in. :p

Ok Joe. That sounds like a reasonable explanation. I think, however, that many Trainzers are familiar with the MSTS version of this route and the TPR version for Trainz. They both have the Bakersfield yard included...unless the mad cow disease has altered my memory. I realize that modelling it would take a lot of time. Hey...I wouldn't do it! :)
And, as everyone knows, time is money. ;)

Cheers,
Fred

That's a brilliant, brilliant screenshot, wonderful use of the branches and leaves, very inventive, well done young man.

Just a couple from me using George Fisher's Indiana Western layout and Dinorius's excellent derelict boat off the DLS.

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.
