A question for anybody out there that would know this. I've been working on a Rio Grande route for a while, but I don't have a wide range of motive power or rolling stock for it. I've seen a lot of pics of that Rio Grande B39-8 (or at least I think it's a B39-8) and I have seen it somewhere, but I forget where it was. Could anybody tell me where I can find it, and if you want, I would like to know where to get some good Rio Grande freight cars, narrow guage and standered guage. You don't have to give me any freight cars, I mainly want to know where to get that engine. Thanks for your help!![]()
Thanks! That's one problem solved, now I just need the narrow guage stuff and the B39-8, B40-8? I don't know.Kay9  , cant help with the Narrow Gauge stuff, but RRMods has a nice selection of Rio Grande engines, some free, some payware. I am pretty sure i got all my Rio Grande boxcars from there too, free.
I hope it helps,
- Deano
I can't recall them all offhand, but two of them are from the Russian animated people series. The guy in the foreground below walks back and forth and another fellow raises his hand to smoke a cigarette.Any chance you could pass on where you got the people from?
some good Rio Grande freight cars, narrow guage
Yah, I get a lot of stuff from there, but I should have put this on my first post, but I mainly need freight for standard guage and some realistic passenger equipment for narrow guage. (the stuff I have now is, as you could say, "bad") Two things down, now I just need that engine! Well anyway, thanks for the tip.You cant find them? Thats all Iv been able to find when it comes to NG mostly. www.steammachine.com/prowler/
PERFECT PLACE to find D&RGW NG power. You can look on the DLS for some reskins of other engines. I got a Converted NG reskined D&RGW diesel thats supposed to be Australian SG. Its not bad either(Who evermande it Nice Job) Just search on google, you will find a lot of stuff.

The metro commuter stopped just in time before hitting this poor soul.Metro City from a different angle and at Dusk.Great pics everyone now back to my layout still so much to dohert
Yep, those are the ones I'm looking for. I'm sorry to hear about the errors, and even if they aren't authentic, they're still pretty cool looking, though. I don't know why, but I still think I remember seeing some of those without the San Luis part on them... Well anyway, I guess I'll just have to find some other motive power.I think you mean these?

Right now they are not released, they are reskins that Davesnow did for me of the San Luis and Rio Grande 8-39Bs using the 8-40Bs on the DLS (like anyone can tell the difference)
I changed the San Luis and Rio Grande into the Shortline and Rio Grande for a route I am building for Trainz Classics. I hope to eventually release them, but I cannot promise anything since I believe the original model is by SPORBUST, and I am not sure if he is allowing reskins anymore, plus they have a huge number of errors, making them hard to upload. Either way, they are not authentic Rio Grande motive power
Quite the opposite really. In the good ol' U.S of A., they really like clumping together one or two other railroad companies on their trains. For example, you could have a CSX freight train, with a CSX loco at the front, but with Conrail and New York Central behind it, or a BNSF freight with a UP and ATSF or SP loco on it. Them there Americans are kinda weird, you know (No offence, Americans!):hehe:
