USA Pics

Nice shots, Evan. Doesn't the texture ripping on the sleepers annoy you? I've had to avoid high-poly rails because of this, it bugs me too much seeing the track flickering in front of me.:(

Eh, it doesn't bug me much i tend to not even notice is. The downside of high poly track, can create lots of lag and tendency of texture ripping :(

Wow, there've been some really nice shots posted lately. Nice work, everyone! I particularly like gfisher's New Haven shot and the ones from evan123.

Here are a few more from the Austin Western...

Here a leased GP helps out with setting out some tank cars near Manor, TX:

@ Epo....All the pix that you all post....Are they "ALL" from the same route???

NO, my Pictures are from four fictional Routes. All Routes are under construction, and I think it's a never ending Story;):D

@gfisher, very nice shot.

Cheers Epo:)

Great shots all! George, I agree, that's a very realistic pic... but, gee George, why are most of your shots so dreary? It makes me want to put a bullet through my head. Are you okay? Just a query from someone who admires and cares...

Cheers,
Fred

CoHe3d, where did you get this loco?
Sorry if this question has already been answered, but i only had time to have a look at the first few pages.

That is the GE 8500HP Gas Turbine.

It has a base TRS2004 compatibility, but should work fine in later versions of Trainz.

You can download the whole pack HERE.

New US based shorthaul company MezRail hauls their first train through St Archs. The consist is headed by re-imported GE-C36-7's from China, renumbered to 2301 and 2302. The loco's will depart the train at Macoma where they are to be serviced and repainted.

FSF.

Epo, BEAUTIFULL! Im just stumped by one thing tho, how did you get the camera to go down that far on the track?

Riding the New Haven in the sixties was a dreary experience...just trying to recapture the reality. I once had a catenary fall on top of my car in a great shower of sparks. My wife and I then had to wait for an hour while they rounded up a diesel to push us into Grand Central.

You can always run my St Barbara's route to cheer up, Fred. It's all sunshine. :D

cloakedghost275, thanks for the link to the Union Pacific Gas Turbine Locomotive! :)

Its an unusual addition to my Trainz Union Pacific collection. :D

Epo,

I'm loving the detail.
I have always been fascinated by the way you detail and use backdrops, amazing!

By the way, how would you like to be in January's Trainz Notebook column in Trainz Magazine? PM me.

Woody

It might be possible to clone a "backdrop" asset...and superimpose your own backdrop panorama photo in the cloned asset file.

Keyboard: Alt+U, and Alt+V work in TRS2006 to walk around and get low to the track. (To get out of that view mode: Press Esc to exit that Alt viewing mode).
