Nice screen shot. What is the layout you are using? Is it one you are creating? If so, tell us about it please.
IF that is an actual location, I figure the chances are greater than 5% that the train is south bound on the SP in Stockton just south of the ATSF crossing. That only leaves maybe a 95% chance I am wrong. ;>

Now I remember. you are creating from Stockton to Oakland.
As you may have read recently I am creating the WP and so the parralel SP from Stockton to Milpitas, so you will turn north at Niles and I will turn south.
One would at first conclude that we are largely competing against each other but not so much. It seems you are doing a very detailed foot by foot, mile by mile route using stuff from anywhere you can find it and creating what you can't otherwise find. I, on the other hand, am creating a compressed route using only TS2009 built in content. Except for length, I am trying to include every track including sidings that I can. I am aiming at 1962 so I can include the NUMI plant.
My primary scource of information for the period is http://www.terraserverusa.com/ .
Judging from your shot of the Stockton tower area you are doing about the same period.
So whats with the San Joaquin Western? Fictional, right?

You are once again correct SuperFudd. The only difference is I'm basing mine around the mid 70's. About 80 to 90 percent of the content I've made was intended for this route with many more items to go. The route itself probably won't be released but all the content I make for it will.

The San Joaquin Western is my fictional shortline.;)

I have the main line finished and am currently laying yard(s) track in Stockton. I have the northern half done and am building south.
Question: at WP's interchange with ATSF there were two tracks connecting north bound WP to east bound ATSF. Do both connect to the first ATSF track or does the left track cross the first ATSF track and connect to the second ATSF track, or...?
I may do the ATSF yard also.

There was 1 WP track crossing north and 2 tracks connecting to the ATSF heading east on the southern main but there was 3 WP track leading to the ATSF but the eastern 2 came together before the switches on the ATSF main. If that was confusing I'll PM you a better description Don.

Hi Bill,

I am not really sure what PM is but I doubt I need it as I have email.;)
Did those two tracks come together before the first ATSF track so there was only one switch there on the ATSF or did each track have a seperate switch on that first ATSF track?
Terra Server seems to show the latter but it is hard to tell.

I suspect I will have many more questions so perhaps we should go to email. If anyone wants to join us it is OK with me.
