USA Pics

yeah the tree spline is just a quick fix for now.but the areas im doing is serious heavy on trees specially since this route goes threw three different states.plus placing all those trees on this route is time consuming lol.

That picture demonstrates quite clearly why TRS2009 is useless until the tree problem is solved.
it wont be solved. its supposed to do that. yes thats right. using textures that way is not recommended and probably shouldn't have been done in the first place.:hehe:

It's not exactly finished:

Amazing pics everyone. And yes I downloaded the export GE Dash 7. Wow everyone's doing such amazing work!

:Y: to you all!

Kinda hard to compare to the the great shots I see here, but here's one from me:

It's the mid 50's and railroads are beginning to replace their steam locomotives with diesel-electrics. Here you see a "funeral train" of locomotives heading to meet the scrappers torch.

Some shots from me in TS2009.
First set (First 5) is from a route of mine and the other set (Last 2) is from Santa Maria by caddylars.

Nice shots all. :)

Isaac, I saw a video about Nashville's central station...and I can see it coming together nicely in your progress shot. Good luck and keep up the good work!

Well, I've made an attempt at skinning an RS3 into a Rock Island livery. I don't know enough about American rail to know what era this livery is from. I've always had a liking for RS3s though.

I've tried to replicate the one in this pic.

I will attempt to dirty it up a bit, but atm it's clean. Also, the one pictured is a different model as the number boards are in a different location to the one modelled for Trainz.

I have sent Mark Hoffman an email and still awaiting a reply. However, I'd like to show people what I've done.

According to a website that details colour schemes and RGBs, the Rock Island maroon is R 127 G 0 B 0. Upon comparing the RS3 with an F7A, it does match quite well.

I've tried to the best of my ability to make a good reskin of the RS3 into Rock Island livery. I hope it could be used by Americans and just Trainzers in general.

Here are two shots.

I would like to tidy up the small logo at the end of the long hood, I will do my best with that.

I'll see what I can do to improve it and post any updates I make.

Ahh, the nose on the model is all buggered up, and from the looks of it, you've done a good job compensating for that lol. I know from experience that when skinning it, the sides will come out cherry and the noses come out mirrored and pixleated. Don't get me wrong, gumbytrain made a very excellent model, but when it comes to doing complex skins on it, well, it's just a pain lol. Excellent work colhad!

I dont know what your using as a paint prog but depending on layers and colors used (and how you apply the layers) youll get a diff color depending on the base color...and depending on what layer you add (for ex multiply, burn, blah blah) you will get a color your not looking for..or looking for...

if this doesn't help pm me...hopefully I can help
