USA Pics

Is that other unit an SD60F? Every time I see one of your screens I try to figure out what that thing is....:hehe:

btw: route is coming along nicely!

Anyway, to get back on topic, here are some pics from my current WIP. It is a route set in the Eastern US during 1943. (Yes I know that it is a CN loco, but I am currently waiting for my K5B to be emailed to me from VMD :D)
Don't know where in the east it is but there is nothing wrong with a Canadian National locomotive there. CN ran power over Central Vermont and Grand Trunk in New England even into the early deisel time so it fits especially a snow route. Thus it looks fine with a CN steamer.

I don't know....All of a sudden I was out RR fanning and it came thru :hehe: ....Enjoy the shots

haha. I knew that joke was coming. Is that lead Conrail engine available anywhere? Oh wait...you said it's no longer available.

Thought I might as well get this back on-topic...

A CSX hopper train roars past a railroad crossing on the Saginaw Sub:

There are a few SD80MACs on the DLS by Splatter that are ok. I tinkered with the config file to change the horn to a more prototypical one and I added a cab to it. Its not too bad actually.

Time for some more pics of the progress to my route.

First a shot of the first town that has been completed. (I am taking suggestions for names, it is in NY)

Now for some newer pics. Here we see a New York Central steamer pulling an a string of empty PRR coal hoppers through the town, before stopping to replenish its water supply. The snow is much calmer compared to earlier.

Here we have a nice shot of the massive driving wheels.

Then we have some pics from down the tracks as the train heads to the junction with the mainline. Notice how the snow from the night before is deep enough to cover the rails in places.

Nope, sorry WCL. I sunk the tracks into the ground and raised the ground very slightly in places. The new, less sensitive, smaller radius, terrain modifying tool is very helpful.

Snow accumulation would be cool though.
