Back in time on the NEC

OT1.jpg

Stealthsteam,

I saw the Freedom Train pulled by 4449 pass through the San Francisco Bay Area out bound in 1975 and agian in 1976 on it's return trip. It was quite dirty on the return trip, probably less than one day from the end of it's journey.
As I recall it rode on the rails and did not use surface affect. :hehe: :D ;)

It's not really the NEC, but highly based on it. I'm going to do a full-legnth (Richmond to Boston, including electrified freight bypasses) version, but right now I'm doing a short test from Newark to New Haven. I'll show some pics soon.

Edit: Note, this might not be available for download (if so, only for TC) as I imported all the Modula City stuff from TC to 06 and will probably use a lot of it...

A Family Lines SD40-2 idles on the main after its crew ran out of hours at 3 in the morning. The new crew should be in at any moment, much to the dispatcher's relief.

Amazing shots everyone!!:)

I haven't posted some lately so here are some you can drool over.
This is a WIP route I'm working on. Won't give out too many details yet though.;)

Its a miserable autumn day at the docks. Sitting at the fueling center, CSX #4439 and CSX #4437 are ready to go and the crew are doing final checks. CSX #4841, along with an unidentified locomotive, is sitting waiting for its turn to head out but its going to be a long time as she has faulty dynamic brakes.
Ever since the accident of 2000 no trains are allowed to leave with faulty dynamic brakes. The grades, along with the loads, in this area are dangerous. On a rainy day like this they will need them.

Cheers,
Adam
