In reference to Josh's comment, loved as a child? Yes. Over-sized ego because of my P5...come on Josh, you know me buddy, NEVER in a million years... ;) Now quit making CSX fly, and build a worthwhile route...like the old NYC out of Kankakee. Do it now boy!

Many cheers,
Woody

NYC in Kankakee? Ain't nobody got time for that. Well, maybe. But I have enough fun projects running for Mid-West Trainz.

WHICH THESE PEOPLE SHOULD ALREADY KNOW ABOUT, RIGHT?

Anyway, so yeah, we'll see what goes. I'm holding out for some things to get done before I start a route like that. lol

So here's the route I'm making right now. It's going to have real operating track like this:

71fe8e90d99bb099abd75b86d9b22382.png

and the route has a mountain grade like this:

44604f0a9568325c99e512417dd2a4a3.png

and it's going to cost $60 and only people who donate to my site can download it.

not really

Cheers,
Joshua

The following shots are from the WIP of the GTW Flint Sub route. It covers Sarnia (Portal) under the St. Clair River to just west of the C&O crossing in Flint. In all over 65 miles. Just the detailed scenery is left to do, all tracks, industry is done. Hopefully this installment from my Michigan Trainz Routes will be up by next month sometime. I had abandoned my C&O Bad Axe Sub due to an error in merging routes which left everything that was 90% done gone... empty baseboards! No Autosave... it was corrupted!

A green and gold GP-9 leads train #17 out of Tunnel Yard in Port Huron onto the Flint Sub. The Tappan tower is behind right with the C&O Port Huron Sub right of that and the PH&D GTW interchange far right.

GTW 4924 sees duty on the Cass City Sub former PO&N RR at Imlay City, MI. The GTW Flint Sub is pictured behind on the bridge.
I lightly reskinned the units from the VMD downloadbles. None of these reskin GTW Geeps are online. VMD seems to be non active anymore. I'd love to have them host some of the reskins I have done of these units. Dave Snow's building was reskinned for this scene. I'll get permission and upload that in the future. A shot of the location now below.

Don't forget the origional Norfolk Southern Heritage unit: GP59 #4610, in Southern Crescent colors. I have fond memories of seeing it at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum at various events (normally National Train Day). I know that a #4610 was made by CincySouthernRwy. However, it was actually a GP40-2 body painted to look like #4610. Then again, Norfolk Southern was the only railroad to purchase the GP59 model, along with the Demos.

4610 was repainted not too long ago. I saw 4610 one day in the early afternoon. Looked amazing with the light glinting off of one side.

Yeah, she was repainted at Juniata and released on January 21st, while ES44AC #8099, the new Southern Heritage unit, came out of the paint shop in Chattanooga almost exactly two months later on March 20th. She just isn't the same after losing her Southern colors.

two MoPac trains run side by side down the yard. 6428 has two MoPac heavyweight Pullman baggage RPO's and is headed north up the yard. 1423 with a train of boxcars follows along side.

From a different angle we can see the proud blue and white of the coaches in the early morning sun
