USA Pics

I was out hiking in the field out behind the barn. I had nothing to do today so I trekked across the creek and came to the tracks to see if I could get a shot of the BNSF freight that rolls by 12:30. And interesting enough, a train came by at 12:30, but it for sure wasn't the normal two SD70ACE pulling the train, but an C&O Allegheny!!

Thanks everyone!! I think I might continue on this I really do like how it is coming along.:D

This is amazing. Absolutely astonishing work there, metrarailboy1. Please, I'm begging you, keep it up. If you head down the MILW West Line, let me know if you need pictures of Elmwood Park - Itasca. I don't know where you live so I'm not sure if you can get there or not, but just in case :p

As for the track I am sure to be asked about:

My Second Attempt of my first 3DMAX Stitched Track, and it Turned Out Pretty Well. Still Have Tie Texture Improvements to do and Rail Textures as well, plus some tweaking of the mesh.
Notice its higher ballast elevation ( portion roughly 25% buried also for uneven hillside track laying ) anyone and the directional lighting effects as a result of its design?

This Stitched Track is only 368 polys, but still considered High Detailed Track. It can be laid normally which will be low off the ground with matching ballast texture, smoothed to what you see here which requires no ballast texture ( great for different session creations because ballast textures do not dissappear as they are only on the route layer ), and most importantly can be raised .7 higher than the ajoining track for great track laying effects ( not shown ) such as outside track on a turn higher than the inside track for added realism plus other examples best to just be shown, not explained. Tons of work in this track to say the least. It does not use LOD Changes as this causes significant stutter.

Metrarailboy, once again props on your attention to detail. You nailed the the Racine Ave. location. Before visiting Chicago I had found a picture from there and evnetually found the location on google maps, made it a point to get over there to shoot something under the position lights while they were still up, shouldve done it on a weekday so I'd get more than the three trains I did on a Sunday

You need to get someone to make you some custom Chicago buildings to go with your route.

@Metrarailboy1

I would assume that is a reskin of the Jointed Rail F40?

Also, do you happen to know the KUID of the track you are using. Both the in use track and the rusted over track. If its not too much trouble, I have a use for it

Yes it is a JR reskin and the tracks are built in trs12 JR tracks.
