Hemler that looks exceptional. Love intermodal ramps, especially since so much tedious work goes on when producing them (placing and rotating each individual trailer and container stack). Where is it based upon?

They moved it in TANE. The enviroment options are now under the main menu tab at the top left of your screen. To edit the colors and intensity pick go to the time of day option then choose the time you want to change by clicking one of the dots on the clock. Then you can edit the two boxes to the right and use the dials to edit it, like water. One box controls sun color and the other controls intensity. Find a balance that works for you.

Thanks for pointing this out. Going to do a little work on my M&A and maybe another few screenies will work their way in here in the next few days.

After capturing Del Monte resting in the shade of the willows (see the Screenshot of the Week Page) our camera man headed over to Banana Hill Roundhouse, an ancient structure that has dwindled to just 3 stalls, to watch the Gurtantown Central's ex-CWR, ex-SP RS-11 head out to switch the train together for the next day.

Here's the same train being loaded with grain at Cylinder Grains elevator

After loading all the hoppers with grain, and running around the train, the train now heads back to Littleport where the hoppers will be drop off in the exchange yard, ready for its pickup from BNSF

SLRR 2623 makes one of its last runs late in the day, and nears its end of service as a whole here in 1967. Dieselization becoming more prevalent throughout the rest of the Silver Lines system the past few years, the need for steam begins to fall. 2623 makes a run past a scrapping facility, in which locomotives of her own class are next in line to be torched. Tenders from various locomotives sit on a storage track beside the main, and even an old rust bucket of an AS16 sits on the adjacent track, awaiting its fate. They never did do well on the SLRR system, and by 1968 all of them had been scrapped or decommissioned.

Not only do we feature a scrapyard, but a pair of SD units managed to derail a few boxcars while doing a bit of switching. Slow speed of the train meant the damage wasn't severe, but at least two cars went aground because of an issue with the track. Gotta call the MoW lads now!

Nice job TP14. Looks really nice. How did you make the river? Can we see an aerial shot of the river?

Thanks for the nice words :) Here's an overhead shot:

As you can see it's little more than a small scene with a few rocks and trees. Someday I hope to actually turn this into a route though :p

Nice shot by the way, Norm :D

The old Mikado 2457 is ordered to haul two SLRR units that are unrepairable at this point to the scrap yard. The RS3 endured a fine career on the railroad, but ultimately it became too costly to maintain the unit as mechanical issues appeared more often than could be fixed. The AS16 never enjoyed much of a life on the system, as it was often sidelined as other, better units, usually took control of the trains. The last unit scrapped was in 1969, but the order to begin torching these locomotives was made in '67. One was preserved until the early 2000s, until poor storage conditions and a particularly bad storm season damaged the unit beyond repair and it was sent for scrap in 2004 at long last. Here, we find one of the last few units making its way into the scapping facility, having been ignored for months.
