Hey, you were on ET? What was your username? If you were around until at least 2012, I may have seen you.

I actually don't remember. I haven't been there in so long. I forgot my password once and couldn't change it, so i left. Then, a few months of playing Lionel Traintown later, i got TS10, and came here.

BTW, were you Dustin Raiken on there? I was just looking around and saw that username. If you are, congrats on being an Executive VP!

Best Regards,

Amazing port.

p.s. Sorry for being a "gimmie pig", but where can I find the rock textures of the 4th picture?

No, I'm the gregbarf guy who spams the word pink all over the forums at exactly 11:59 PM every night and gets all of my posts deleted before the break of dawn. Who else would I be? :D Thanks for the compliment. I'm only an executive VIP because I blab too much. I blabbed a lot on TrainSim.com and they thought I was trying to raise my post count to look smarter. :D

I think a gimmie pig is asking for something that's not available yet, but if you don't know , you gotta ask, right?

The rock textures are JVC Tx3 seasonal dirt/soil/stone and Donner P12 R10. Trainzitalia Donner pass.
The rock splines are also Donner Pass.

Awesome to see my PHL repaints are being used on your port route. Simply stunning work there Kimo.

Thank you. Hopefully There will be more of that roster available some day.

I thought that port looked oddly familiar. Nice work there Kimo.

Thank you. It was actually going to be a small portion of the Port of Los Angeles/Long Beach, but looking over photos and satellite images I didn't know where to begin. And then one day as I was cruising around San Andreas....

Does LA really have that many military helicopters buzzing around?

I guess if your wanted level is at 5 stars :hehe:

@Kimo
Whered you get those Container Cranes? Those are very very nice.

I also noted that you have Ocemy's DLC Containers, did they hijack the normal containers? or?

Yes they do. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton is the major West Coast base of the United States Marine Corps, south of LA and there is a lot of traffic between Pendleton and the Naval Air Warfare Center at Point Mugu, CA, north of LA.

Thanks. looking forward to them.

That's actually quite clever, recreating the port area from GTA V.

Thanks. I'm going to try and do the whole port but I'll have to rethink the 2 large suspension bridges and maybe just have all traffic use the 2 lift bridges instead.

DLS crane harbor static.

Not sure what you mean by hijack? If you are referring to the stacked containers, Ocemy has a container yard with crane that's a built-in item in TS12 and you can adjust the amount of containers that show up in the yard by clicking on the (?) to edit. If you are referring to the single containers parked in the middle? There is a neat little item on the DLS called product attachment that allows you to use products as scenery items and those containers are from Ocemy's well car DLC pack I just put about 5 of them on a chassis and copy and paste the rest.

Hell Kimo
Yes I am working on some more at this time.

Thats cool. I don't know much about that railroad other than what I've seen at the railpictures site. And that paint scheme looks like the old ATSF zebra scheme.

Erik,
I must say, this latest batch of photos really reminds me of Alaska in the summer time - put some ARR locos on the point and you'd have a convincing scene! Keep up the great work!

@ Erik:

Excellent screenshots from an excellent route – very well done.
I wish all this nice environmental content you used for this route like the grass and the other plants around would be available including season change support :-)
