Ive been to the Orlando station and the road there was horrible, the station however wasnt :hehe:

Lets just say American roads are horrible in general because that seems like a pretty well represented stereotype.

I say more money for the rails not the roads!

On a beautiful fall morning, New York & Atlantic MP15AC's #159 and #151 idle in the Fresh Pond yard, waiting for a Providence and Worchester freight to pull in and dump the cars into the yard.

AWESOME shot as always! I really like the weathered look on those mp15's! because it looks so realistic. I am definitely looking forward to the release of your route someday. ^^ May I ask the KUID of the CN hopper behind the locos on the left?

Pennsylvania has the worst roads in the country. This is prototyical.:hehe:

I see your bet and raise you 100 :D (great shots BTW! Although I'd suggest adding an extra pillar or two to make sure that bridge doesn't come tumbling down)

I was lucky to see U2 play in the Detroit area when I was back in University. Let me tell you that the roads in Michigan are by far the worst I've ever seen. I saw weeds as high as an A4 piece of paper growing between lanes! WEEDS! :O

Most people don't realize that the network of roads in North America were generally laid around the same time, which means they'll start to fall apart at the same time. Further, taxes are necessary to maintain, repair and relay roads, but if there isn't a lot coming in...

GREAT SHOTS ALL!

Thanks gisa. :)

The 159 was a pain to skin, but also really fun at the same time. I experimented with different ways of getting the LIRR paint to show through the NY&A paint, and I'm actually really happy with the result.

As far as taht hopper goes, I wanted to see how the route ran in 06, so I imported it and the content used in Fresh Pond to test. That CN hopper comes with 06, and I believe if you buy the Marias Pass route. Overall, I still prefer 04, and especially after having to deal wtih CMP just to import the few things I did. ;)

Might as well throw in another from that run:

Patience and Persistence....

I haven't had a haircut in several months.......don't need one, cause Trainz has me pulling my hair out - LOL!

Anyways.......slowly learning how all this stuff works.......thought it was time to see if I could get one of my loco models to load into the sim.....so I dusted off an old "simple" model I made for MSTS 6-7 years ago (we didn't have very many hi-tech resources available back then).

What an ordeal!
It took me far less time to create and build the model than it took to get the d**n thing to load properly into Trainz.

But patience and persistence prevailed.....so here's a couple pics.

(Oh, also.......is there some way to turn off those Junction Labels for taking screenshots??)

Regards,
Mark

I don't want to see those trailers in the dock facing the wrong way again. You know better.:p

I just like giving Long Islanders more trouble; I'd love to see a guy look at that, give up after 12 seconds, and grab a donut. :p

Edit: Great shots there Mark. To get rid of the switch names, mouse up to the top left of the screen while in a session and click the rightmost button.

Another way to be rid of those junction arrows is to edit the start up menu while in the serveyer mode..........

Now for a really old pic

This one really was by accident, I just happen to hit the print screen key as the engine was going around the turn around track behind the roundhouse, this one was actually taken when I was still running UTC.....

Mark,

Wow. Patience and persistance certainly has paid off. Excellant work on the Bethlehem switcher.:Y:  :udrool: :mop: Is it narrow guage or standard guage? I can't tell from the picture. I am currently modeling the Johnstown Plant of Bethlehem Steel and its shortline the Conemaugh & Blacklick RR and could use that switcher and the bethlehem hopper if and when you ever decide to release them. I am very happy to see that someone other than myself has interest in steel layouts. I may have some very interesting assets that I have collected over the years to help improve the look of your route. Take a look at my steel mill thread here http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=20264 if you see anything you would like to have give me a PM and I will locate it for you.

To turn off the switches in TRS2004 (not sure about later versions) its either Ctrl+H or Alt+H. Can't remember at the moment. Nice route please post more shots.
